Alright as my first attempt to get off Leecher here on Mmowned I decided to make a guide. Now Rogues in general are one of the most over powered classes in the game, so dueling shouldn't be a problem at all.
Please note that the number in Parenthesis is combo points.
Rogue Acronyms- CS- cheapshot , KS- Kidneyshot ,Dot- damage over time, CP- Combo points
-SHS.(Shadowstep)

-Rogue vs Rogue
Okay, the easiest way to over come another rogue in a duel is to get the opening hit. The order of your attacks are going to be SAP---> Premeditation---> CS (4-5CP'S). At this point you can choose to go with plan A or plan B
A- if 4 CP's do a quick Hemmorage(+1) and Rupture(5)----> vanish. Wait out the bleed then sap to get stun returns. then start over CS(+3)---> Hemmorage(+1)--->Hemmorage(+1) ----> KS(5) at this point the rogue may trinket if so blind and start from the beggening. Work up your combo points during the KS and do a 1-2 point rupture... about one second before the KS is over pop evasion and then preperation. The enemy rogue is going to be forced to try to get away now he will be popping cloak evasion and most likley vanish to try to control you. DON'T LET YOURSELF GET CONTROLED!!!... Once your rupture is off Vanish---> Premeditation----> CS(4-5) hemmorage(+1) --->Hemmorage(+1)---> KS---> the rogue will die now if he hasnt trinketed he will in order to survive if you see the trinket be sure to blind and then its game.
Plan B- KS(5)---> Hemmorage(+1)---> Hemmorage(+1)---> Ghostly strike(+1)---> Rupture(3)---> evasion....Once your rupture is about to wear off vanish and start over with a CS you will be trying to hit the rogue during the period of the 3pt rupture but he may put evasion up this is why you CS again. Your CS should bring you combo pts up to about 4-5 CP's(from the period before when you attacked while your evasion was up) then you rupture(5)---> Preperation --->Vanish once the bleed duration is over sap ---> premeditation---> CS(5)--->KS. The rogue will be forced to tirnket now if he hasen't once the trinket is popped blind and its game over for them.
The easiest way to counter Both A and B is to trinket the very first sap/ stun you get from attacking rogue then vanish and start on him
Rogue vs Warlock
Okay there are a few ways to go at the warlock depending on his pet
Felguard/Voidwalker- Premeditation---> CS---> KS(5) Hemmorage(+1)--->hemmorage(+1)--->hemmorage(+1)---> trinket the deathcoil if you have a fast nuff comp if not trinket the fear after the lolcoil then keep DPSing if the warlock tries to fear after the trinket be sure to save energy for kick. Depending on the locks gear/ skill he may try to fear again this fear you can cloak because it will erase all the DoTs on you as well( instead of just cloaking a fear or just cloaking dots) once you use cloak ---> vanish --->CS ---> Hemmorage(+1) Hemmorage(+1) Expose armor (4-5) or eviscerate (4-5) because your KS is still on duration.. After your finisher the warlock will most likley try to fear again your returns from relentless strikes will give you the energy you need to kick. After this it becomes very situational but just try to keep energy for fears and watch for fake casts!!!
If the warlock is using the Felhunter use sprint or SHS before the opener.(so he dosn't pull you out)
If the warlock is using a Succy(seducing pet that idk how to spell) sap the warlock and kill the pet first then re enter stealth, you may have to blow vanish to re enter but its worth it!
Rogue VSMage
Fire Mage(POM)- Premeditation---->CS----> Expose armor(5)----> shiv. If the mage blinks use shadowstep if not just stay ontop of him w/ crippling poision. if you get frost nova'd cloak it and spam hemmorage as long as your forcing the mage to try to run away his dps output will be lower than when hes got you frozen. Alot of the time when a fire mage is slowed and cant get away from a rogue he is forced to ice block or lose ALOT of health. During the ice block you want to be bandaging and then if he lets you you should re-enter stealth. Once ice block is over and your in stealth STAY AWAY!! he will be AoE'ing and most likley blowing nova
After the ice block simply CS(4) from the shiv from before and then if the mage dosnt blink the CS do Hemmorage(+1)--->Hemmorage (+1) ---> KS(5)he will blink the KS that is when you SHS again and you win vanish any nova there is with the vanish you have left and he will be forced to try to run away again but now hes out of CD's and you win
Frost mage- Pretty much the same as fire mage just start with a KS instead of expose armor to force the blink once hes blinked shadowstep and hemo spam odds are the mage will summon his pet and ice block you can either blind the pet and bandage or if your geared enough you can about 4 hit the pet(what i do) the mage will come out to aoe you in place you can vanish this aoe and then eat if the mage decides tospam his AoE's to find you. If the mage is eating just start on him with CS---> shiv---> KS(4-5) and shadowstep the same as before the ice block. Cloak the next nova instead of vanish and it will force another ice block once you kill the pet again you can preperation and start over on the mage from step 1. In a sense you just out Cooldowned the mage and because you forced him to run / ice block half the game your dps should be fairly higher than his(Gear depending)
Rogue vs Priest
Shadow Priest- Premeditation---> CS--->hemmorage(+1)----> KS(5) Odds are the priest will trinket here. Be prepared to use your trinket on the fear. Assuming he fears you now have 24 seconds to burn him down pop DPs trinkets if you have one and get as much damage in as you can.Once his next fear is about up use Cloak to resist it and to clear the dots off of you. If your a geared rogue the sprst will be about dead now if your not so geared vanish CS hemmorage hemmorage KS(4-5) and the spriest should be pretty low.
The trick to burning the priest down is to stun when his shield is about to be back up(but is still down). thats how he wins most of his games is with the power word shield.
Disc Priest- this is a tough fight like all other healing classes. This is also a very situational fight so im not going to have a dps order like i do with the rogue VS rogue. Dps and shiv to keep the priest near you try to avoid the fears at all costs and stun during the time his shield is up also while your doing all of that kick the flash heals if you miss the first one just save energy most priests will spam flash heal once they start going. DON'T LET TOO MANY FLASH HEALS IN! other than that if you out dps his heals and keep him close to you it should be a game in your favor.
Rogue vs Warriors- Nearly 90% of all warriors that you will be dueling are arms. But there is an easy way to win! Start on the warrior with a Premeditation and CS then do a (5) rupture you should have 2 seconds left on CS this is where you want to shiv and kite the warrior backwards. Stay with in his intercept raidus (8-30 or somthing like that) he cannot hit you now and you re enter stealth and start from step 1 again. Once the warrior gets low from this pop evasion and ghostly strike and burn him down. Once he sees the evasion he is going to be forced to switch stances to battle stance and that is going to lose him alot of his rage that he got from your stuns and bleeds.
If you cannot kite the warrior in the strat mentioned above because your comp lags to hardcore or somthing i suggest bleeding the warrior as much as possible even opening with garrote then evasion tanking. Sorry this is the best i can do for you laggy people out there ( you can also stun the warrior if you have 5/5 wound poison up because it affects second wind so using KS later in the duel is fine as long as the warrior dosn't have his shield on.
Rogue vs Druid
Boomkin- Premeditation---->CS Hemorage(+1)(white damage until the last second of CS) then KS(5) and continue to Hemmorage... if the druid pops out to abolish poisions shiv to keep him close and if it tries to travel form and run shiv and always keep 1CP on the druid for deadly throw incase of roots/ cyclone. You can also decide to expose armor if you dps just isnt taking him down. but besides the opener the druid fight can be situational. (situational because he may use certain spells at times rather than other druids etc but in general just say ontop of him and you will win)
Resto- Premeditation--->CS-----Expose armor(5)(a druid will always start in bear form unless he has mental problems... and some do it dosn't take much to win as a druid) After the expose armor blow ghostly strike and evasion to avoid the Bash stun and hoTs. After this point its all situational try to save KS for the human form and stun him then if he trinkets blow blind and then enter stealth the opener helps alot against druids.(
Note: never trinket a bash stun there is ALWAYS a cyclone after it that you can trinket.
Fereal- Catch the druid in cat form and you have the game on your side stunlock it as long as you can in the cat form until it goes bear once its bear pop evasion and ghostly strike to avoid the stuns. if he goes human form vanish and CS do your best to keep him there if you get a few stuns in while the druid is in human form you may win but its always going to be an uphill battle for rogues.
Hunters- Sap the hunter once the flare fades start by doing
Premeditation--->CS--->hemmorage(+1)---> KS(5) if the hunter is BM it will be popped now and you vanish for the full duration Cloak any poision thats on you and pray the vanish works for once. if hes marks he will probably trinket.
Marks- Once the trinket is popped blow sprint, evasion and shiv and stay ontop of the hunter. once sprint and evasion are down blow preperation and start from the beggining. its game from there
BM-Vanish while the BM is up once it goes away start on the hunter again CS---> hemorage--->hemmorage--->KS(4-5) the hunter will trinket this. blow your sprint and evasion CD's now trinket the freezing trapIII that will be placed down. and its game for you if things get dirty again just pop preperation and stunlock the hunter all over again.
Note: most hunters are forced to kite off of their flare if the hunter is good at flaring use vanish when you can but if hes bad you should use your stuns to help you out more rather than it being a CD that has to be popped before preperation.
Rogue vs Paladin
Ret- Sap---> premeditation---> CS---> hemmorage(+1)--->(white hit till Cs is over)---> KS(5) Paladin trinkets here!!!!! now you blow cloak then evasion. now you will resist his 1m stun and dodge most of his attacks. burn him down blowing trinkets during this period and force the bubble. When he is bubbled vanish+run to your emo corner and eat in stealth.
After the bubble start on the warrior again run in w/ sprint to avoid the consencration damage CS---> hemmorage--->hemmorage---> KS (4-5) spam hemo during the ks and work up your combo pts for an expose armor. when the paladin stuns you this time DONT TRINKET unless he starts attacking you. most of the time the second stun( on the 1m CD) is used to cover for his heals and if you trinket it you will get repentence stunned and pwnd.
Once the stun is over trinket the repentence and continue to dps him down you can choose to dps him anyway you want at this point bleeds expose armor etc. you may want to blind / bandage here too. now start on the paladin again and burn him down he will blow LoH(lay on hands) this is when you preperation evasion tank him for as long as you can. once he gets low vanish premeditation CS into a KS(5) and it should be game
Holy- Start in with sprint to avoid the consencration. ----> premeditation----> CS--> hemorage---> KS(5)---> hemmorage x2 then cloak once your KS is over because the paladin is going to stun you then heal. After the cloak kick the heal and save energy to gouge the next heal. continue to white hit until your at max energy or until he heals in which case use gouge. ride out the full gouge and then kick the next heal. keep on white hitting and throw on some dots if he lets your energy go up(rupture) for the next heal vanish CS and then do a hemmorage+1 --->KS(4-5) at this point there is the bubble and you get to start all over from the beggining.
Rogue vs Shaman
Resto- Okay basically a resto shaman is a rogues worst nightmare. heres how i like to fight it
CS(3) --->Hemmorage(+1)--->(WHITE HIT TILL CS IS ABOUT OVER)---> gouge.(+1)...Kill poision cleansing, earthbind and searing totems now! now expose armor for (5) pts. shiv the shaman to stay ontop of him and save your energy keep white hitting him until your at full energy the only time your not white hitting him is to shiv or if your energy keeps capping off you can use a Hemmorage to bring him down a little.(also while you keep him in your range try to kill the searing and poision cleasing totems) now use KS once you get 5 pts and you can go a little more wild with you energy since you will be hitting him hard while expose is up he will heal once your ks is down so be ready to kick it! once you kicked it save your energy to gouge the next heal once you gouged it vanish and CS the next heal then gouge after the Cs and kill the totems if they aren't already dead. Keep up your dps if you can and if you stop all heals he will be forced to instant heal thats when you blind(right before the instant heal) he will trinket and heal up to 70-90% you want to gouge/ kick any heals right after the instant heal( remember when gouge is up to kill the totems) after you kick and gouge after the instant heal your stun DR's should be up and you prep vanish CS --->hemmorage---->hemmorage--->KS(5) and it should be close to game. also if your on a good comp you can try to blind then vanish and as he is trinketing stun him so the instant heal never gets off and you win that way also.
Elemental
premeditaion---> CS---> Hemmorage--->hemmorage--->KS(5). Ele. shamans can be very situational if he tries to kite you stay ontop of him with shiv etc and be sure to kill the poision cleansing when your gouge is up. if he dosnt kite you very well kick his lightning bolts and cloak his chain lightning. pretty much you have to stop his big attacks and then vanish CS his heals if you stop 2-3 of his heals you should win the game but if a few get through its gonna hurt you in the end. Also remember you have deadly throw so you can do that to stop heals too just run 5 ft back and throwit works better than you think.
Enhancement- premeditation--->CS--->hemmorage(+1)--->hemmorage(+1) ---> KS(5)...He should trinket here if not just dps him down with hemo and pop evasion... you should be able to evasion tank him down pretty low also try to activate cloak when your getting shocked (count 5 sec after a shock and your cloak should get the next one) once your evasion is down vanish CS ---> preperation---> hemmorage(+1) --->KS(4-5) and it should be game if he trinkets blind and if he survives just pop evasion again and you will win.
Thank you guys for reading my guide and I hope it helps people btw this is coming from a 2k+ rogue. Also i apologize for the wall of text but its just how I roll. (also i apologize for my grammar, punctuation mistakes etc).
Good luck!
