    ~Rogue Stunlocking~

I'm putting this here because of the pitiful attempt at a 'guide' from another player on this forum. Poor grammar and not helpful except for vague talent suggestions.

NOTE: I did not write this. I got it from here. I'm only trying to help, not to take credit for some else's work. No flaming either, please.
You must be level 34 minimum to do this correctly.

Here is the sequence for a perfect rogue stunlock in World of Warcraft. It should be noted that deadly poison will make a stunlock impossible, since the dot ticks will break saps, blinds and gouges.

    1. Open with a cheap shot. If this misses, the rogue should vanish and try again later. Pushing a bad opener usually results in a loss for the rogue.

    2. A cheap shot will give the rogue time for one combo point, so a sinister strike should be used before the cheap shot wears off.

    3. The next attack will be a three or four-point kidney shot, which will give the rogue time for one more sinister strike before changing sides.

    4. Before the kidney shot wears off, the rogue should move in front of their opponent and gouge. Combat rogues will find this gouge will give them a choice of how to continue. Non-combat rogues have only one choice.

    5. From the gouge, the combat rogue will have time to drop combat and restealth. Non-combat rogues have to burn their blind here so they can restealth.

    6. Both rogue builds, once re-stealthed, should sap their opponent in order to reset their attack cooldowns.

    7. From here, the rogue can cheap shot and start building combo points again, going from steps one through four.

    8. Once their opponent has been re-gouged, non-combat rogues will have to vanish in order to start the sequence again. Combat rogues should use their blind here, wait for combat to drop, then restealth.

    9. The rogue should continue from steps one and two this time, but replace the kidney shot in step three with eviscerate.

    Just a note:

Regardless of your spec Improved gouge is a must!

ALWAYS use gouge before a kidney shot: Kidney shotting at full energy does EAVY damage, even without related talents.

after the first row, blind restealth or vanish sap.

Gouge restealth is quite a bet. Generally, only using sprint will keep you out of range for casters, charge, hunter mark, deadly throw/imp blind. And anyway if the opponent spams tab or right click on u, this is useless.

Ok this is really inappropriate of me, but I dont play a rogue.

Instead, I'm on the end of the rogue's weapon.

I'm the guy always being stunlocked. What do *I* do when a rogue is taking advantage of me like this?

I have Medallion of the Alliance, what can I do to choose the best time to use trinket?

Also, you could include options for a rogue to counter the reply you give me.

I just wanna know how to beat rogue! lol

QQ im a leecher flame if you will.

Stunlocking as a 70 rogue = useless. Any level before you hit the 60-70 pvp bracket sure, it works alright. The best ShS rogues either open with a CS, 5 point Expose armor/Rupture or Garrote/Rupture vanish and watch the dots fuk your oponent up (Garrote/Rupture is also used to Rupture kite warriors which is easy if you have an inch of skill). Even Mut rogues 5 point expose armor/Rupture to leave there Kidney shot as an extra form of interupt/CC later on in the fight. Playing on a 1920 mage/rogue 2v2 myself timing my KS for my mages shatter combo is essential to winning any arena battle. Frankly rogues that think their OP because they can stun someone for 9 seconds = fail. Obviously the people your fighting with these tatics needs to L2pvptrinket. GG.

^Which is exactly what I need.

You know, I dont really care if this thread and it's posters has any amount of epeen and/or greater skill than me.

I'll be the first to admit that I suck at PvP, and a lot of the times I'm also the first to try to improve on it.

So to the person who disputed this thread, tell me please. When is the best time I should use my trinket against a rogue? I'm a newly 70 warlock, I have a ton to learn quite frankly, and I'd like to gather as much information as I can.

    Improved gouge= 5.5 seconds
Leave combat after attack= 6 seconds
    It doesn't work very often.

Stunlocking at 70 is great and Arena is not PvP, totally different objectives, specs, equipment, and strategies.

Since you are a lock, I would say trinket after their first kidney shot, then deathcoil, dont dot them up, they will just use cloak of shadows right after deathcoil is up, if they dont cloak then just fear and watch them QQ. But you gotta realize that rogues are your counter class. My best advice is, If you wanna beat a rogue, roll a warrior.

cooldown on medallion is 2 mins... Cool down on KS is 20 seconds... frankly Stunlocking is the only way rogues have a chance at beating warriors. haha, its so funny when I tear up warriors 1v1 in arena's.
