    My stunlock rogue spec

Hello all after my long inactivity I wanted to finally start posting on this forums so I can get rid of this leech thing.

Well the best thing I could start with is my rogue stunlock spec, I have been using this one since TBC. The basic thing is Mutilate.

    ASSASSINATION (42/5/24)

    Link: wowhead.com/?talent#fhecoxMsiMRczZ0xZebfb0uzb

Now the thing is easy, all you need is a stun watch addon and your ready to go. Since I don't have a rogue now after wotlk I don't know if it is going to still work but. So the cycle is: Cheap shot > Mutilate > Mutilate > Kidney shot > Mutilate > Gouge > wait for energy > mutilate > blind > vanish > restore max energy and repeat > after 5 CP use CB with Eviscerate and its done. When I used this in TBC the target didn't move from the begining to death. Hope this isnt too lame

Edit: Forgot to say that when Cheap Shot, Kidney or Gouge you must wait until the stun is about to wear off then you strike again

Completely relying on no misses, dodges, parrys, trinkets, racials, and other people.

I'd also personally go with a spec more like
Talent Calculator - World of Warcraft

The 1 point in imp ambush is a waste if you're stunlocking, and you may as well just unstealth against other rogues if you don't have heightened senses.

Deadened nerves is another talent which, if youre stunlocking 100>0 would be a waste, its better imo to drop those two points and put them in murder, giving you the extra 4% damage bonus.

Even dropping the one point in imp kidney you still come out with 1% extra damage, 4% extra chance to not be hit by spells and ranged AND improved stealth; with this build.

So all in all....cookie cutter mutilate build.

Not to be a troll or anything, but arn't all rogues "stunlock" spec'd? There isn't really a spec for it, it's just a thing that rogues do.

Yodawg is right. It doesnt exists a "stunlock spec". Mutilate is what 90% of all pro rogues go, and it has potential for good stunlocking, but so do all other specs.

Well probably, but there are some of talents that are good for this stunlock, e.g. improved kidney shot. But yeah, mostly it depends on skills :P

Combat spec isnt a cc spec at all, and 90%pro's does not go muti, have you even checked things out lately? HFB and combat is reaching for the stars in 3.2, but yes you are right mutiprep is still standing as the superior spec for rogues with daggers. And to you who think all 3 talent trees are with good cc, ur so wrong, well yes you still have gouge-ks-blind, but the rotations for the spec are different.

The pro rogues are using different speccs at different ratings, and depending on what teams that they queue up against. Against plate and druid teams the rogue often goes HfB or Combat. Inn 3s its also now very popular to go for the master poisoner specc, for the reduced time on poison and the increased damage against plate.

This isnt inventive in any way or form, sorry to say. Any rogue can come up with this spec.
