Hello, everyone. I'm putting this here because of a post on my last thread asking how to defend against it rather than do it. I hope everyone enjoys this thread.
Note: I did not write this guide. This is taken from here. I'm not trying to take credit for someone else's work, I'm just trying to help some people on these forums.
1. Fighting rogues requires a ton of stamina. You want to force the rogue to collect at least ten combo points to win. The longer the fight continues, the more likely it is the rogue will mistime an attack, or miss, which will break the lock.
2. Moving is pointless. It is impossible to outrun a rogue in combat, so don't bother trying to reposition the fight unless there is something nearby that can distract the rogue long enough for you to attack or escape.
3. Use instants only. Anything with a cast time is going to be interrupted, so there is no point in wasting the half-second you might have just to have the spell interrupted anyway.
4. If you have a pvp trinket, make sure to trinket the transitional stuns like blind and sap. The reason for this is that a rogue cannot continue a stunlock unless they can restealth, and forcing them to vanish greatly reduces their options in the second or third round of combo points.
5. Don't button mash. Watch the fight as it proceeds and try to anticipate what the rogue wants to do next. If you can see an attack coming, you might be able to force it to miss.
