To disable the expiration timer :
- Open Carbonite.lua
- Find and replace "return 15" by "return 17" (without the quote)

Well after some testing the return modifying trick doesn't work anymore

ok after testing it i agree the return is no longer functioning so until an answer is found the setting date back on the pc seems to still work
