Visa gift card help

in the spirit of the whole "MAterial world" scams, I just wanted to know if anyone has ever just tried to take a visa card out of walgreens or anything and it worked. They always say it won;t work until its scanned, but they say that on the xbox live cards, and those you can steal and use without any "Scanning". Since im just to ***** to try to take one i just wanted to know if this principle applies to the gift cards too nd if anyone actually has taken one.

They have to be scanned. So do xbox live cards, my boyfriend stole like 3 once and all of them were invalid.

Huh, maybe thats recently been changed...I've taken a couple and they worked fine for me.
