    (Real Life Scam) Free BC/Wrath.
This is my first contribution, I ran this today at a wal-mart and it worked like a charm.

    What you need:
    People Skills.
A copy of a game with a cd-key. Used or Unused. We'll use WoW for example.
    An email.

    Good to Have:
A recipt from the store you want to pull this on.
A Printer to print screens of websites.

First once you've obtained a copy of the game you're going to want to use the key if it hasn't been used. If it HAS been used we can go ahead and go to the account management page. There we're going to enter the code again even though we know that it's going to return an already in use page. We want that. Take a screenshot of it and print it out if possible.

Once that has been obtained you can do one of two things:
Heading to the store to attempt a reimbursement.
Emailing in to ask for reimbursement.

(Personally I do Number 2 and loop back to number one as I'll explain later.)

If you're going into the store you should pretty much have it in the bag, a few guidelines you should follow are avoiding techy people and managers. Also don't get upset as most people see it as a facade. Show whoever you're speaking to your printed off page saying the code is in use, if needed offer them to show them on the blizzard site itself from their computer. If they give you the key you're done here. If they ask to see the site, you're also done as it returns the same message. If they say they can't replace it, ALL HOPE IS NOT LOST. We can use option two to help us a bit.

Emailing in is somewhat risky but I've never missed a card or game on it. You're going to want to write an email to wal-mart explaining your "Situation" send it and wait for a reply. I've gotten mixed responses from this saying both I can get another or Im S.O.L. However I don't really care what the customer service rep says, what I want is the email back and forth. If need be you can forge the email into saying to speak to one of the managers at the store(Never tried, sounds risky.) about your reimbursement or (What I personally say) That you cannot be helped online and to seek help from an actual store location. This creates a sense of urgency within the person you're talking to. They realize that you've been pointed from here to there and you just want something done, they're trained that way so that they can have a good customer service rating. They want to help you as best as possible and as QUICKLY as possible. One more thing you can do but I have NOT personally tested is emailing blizzard concerning the key. I'm not sure if they would ask for the key to ban the account its used on so I wouldn't try it, but if they refer you to the store for more help: BINGO! You have yet another letter to show the customer service rep that you're serious about you're reimbursement!

Lastly, the thing about real-life scams is nothing is set in stone, social engineering is a must. Using these tips and resources you should be able to score just about any game that requires a cd-key!

If anyone has any improvements, suggestions, or questions feel free to ask.

To obtain a receipt you can just buy the game in advance, return with the used game/key for a new key. If they give you a new key you use it. Use the key on the new game. Return the new game after your finished saying it's defected or doesn't work on your computer, some bullshit, wallmart, bestbuy, ect will most likely give you your money back or a store credit.

Anyway you look at this it's a risk, you can most likely be charged for theft for this if caught.

Just ideas, I wouldn't ever try and pull any of this crap.

Stealing your idea would imply that both 1. I read your post and 2. That it was an original idea to begin with. Who hasn't thought of returning something that works fine? Seriously?

And the email thing works fine, I can prove it to you if you would like.
