From what i can find out it used to be the inhabited by the highbourne elves but when the great sundering happened the place got wrecked and all sorts of horrid creatures started appearing there and the centaurs took over and started waging war against eachother.
Ah, your ears are fine. It's what's between 'em that scares me.
I can help some! I read the books as well >:O
I was about to make a post when I searched for Lore and got this up. "U stoal my post dammit!" No, just joking, I could never made myself answer 40 pages of Lore anyway, didn't know it was that popular =P But well yeah, if any1 needs a question answered I guess I might help Alkhara sometimes if he's busy
I guess I can watch the thread sometimes or you can send me a PM, the answers won't be as long as Alhara's anyway(At least not all of them, I know quite a lot of lore).
Edit: Just thought about it, and I've figured I'll make my own thread instead. Sounded like a bad idea in the start to "repost" (if you might call it that), and after I posted here it sounded like an even worse idea to "leech" on this thread, so I think I'll post my own. People that wanna check me out check my new thread.
Second Edit: Ofc this had to be a sticky, screw it then![]()

damn awsome threat
Havnt visited this thread ina while, but I have pretty much all knowledge of wow lore, so here goes:
The Naaru are exactly as you describe. They are the physical representation of what Paladin's harness "The light". It is what Paladins have been using to strengthen themselves and heal others. The Draenei were aided by the Naaru when escaping Argus with their leader Velen. And they are also the creators of the Exodar and Tempest Keep structures,
Of their actual strength, I would have to guess that they are on par with the Old Gods and Lich King, but nobody knows for sure.
As far as gods are concerned... The Old Gods are the original inhabitants of Azeroth. When the Titans arrived to Azeroth, they fought the old gods and either destroyed or banished them. C'thun and Yogg-Saron are 2 that are named, but there are more. After defeating them, the Titans re-created Azeroth, creating Kalimdor and then the Dragonflights/Aspects to uphold and protect their new world.
As far as good Gods go, Elune has never been a physical being, but she was worshiped by the Night Elves since they existed, and still are till this day. Elune and Malorne, and their child Cenarious are examples of Gods/Demi-Gods, and are good in all ways.
The titans themselves are also good, with the exception of Sargeras who was a former titan and then turned bad and bent on destroying the worlds they were sworn to protect.
Why was the nexus war so hard to win? Alexstrasza has 139 million hp and can basicly destroy everything on her path, while malygos has 20 million hp and is fairly weak. : < (seen this ins EOE) I know its made for a raid but meh, hes the icon of the blue dragonflight after all
You have to realize that Malygos and Alexstrazsa have a deep relationship, as do the other great Dragon Aspects. So it would be VERY hard for her to just destroy a long time friend of hers, even if he went insane. Also, since she is the Aspect of Life, she has always preferred to watch over the creatures of Azeroth and interfere as little as possible. Probably why she prefers to let those who are in harms way take care of business. Krasus also displays this kind've thinking when traveling long distances.. In one book he flew over a scourge attack on a village, and even though he didnt want to interfere, he chose to swoop down and eff them up. He' s a BAMF!
Plus if Malygos didn't go insane and was at full strength, we probably would still be wiping to him over and over. But then again there wouldnt be any Nexus War.
Alright thanks![]()
Malygos would be a raidwiper with his spell called "Erase" that practically erases anything in it's path.
Its a white lazur that deals 9999999999 dmg to all players, npc's and obstacles in it's path, except for the Demonsoul (which is destroyed anyway). P3wx2 lazor rank 2
Whats funny is that this is true.
"That obscenity should have never become reality, and as I've become instrumental in encouraging it's creation, 'tis only fair, old friend, that I erase it!" Refering to the Dragon Soul
After uttering this statement, he creates a bolt of white light that simply 'voids' everything it touches, leaving behind simply 'nothingness'.
What is the whole deal behind, algalon the observer? Tried to find some things on wowwiki and such but really couldnt find a good chunk of info : /
Heres a bit of info from wowwiki:
Algalon was sent by the titans after Watcher Loken's death activated a planetary fail-safe protection, indicating possible distress on Azeroth. Algalon's task is to analyze any systemic corruption on the planet. If it's deemed beyond saving, the Titans will "re-originate" the planet to cleanse it of corruption, killing all currently living organisms in the process.
Link: Algalon the Observer - WoWWiki - Your guide to the World of Warcraft
Anywho, when he is defeated, he tells the heroes that he now believes that our world may be worth saving. That our imperfections may grant us our own free will, and that we have prevailed where the Titan's own creations have failed.
So, along with phat lewts, he drops "Reply-Code Alpha". This must be brought to Rhonin in Dalaran, where he will use the Eventide to transmit the code to the Titans, so they know that everything is fine on Azeroth. If not, or if Reply-Code Omega is transmitted, Azeroth will be wiped cleaned and re-originated...
Pretty cool stuff imo![]()
Now that there's a rumour about the cataclysm being the next expansion, I'd like to know how queen azshara and sargeras(was it him?) came to the maelstrom. If that now is what happened :].
