I would like to offer my knowledge to anyone with a question, whether it be duelling, gamemechanics, battlegrounds or arena.

I have achieved several gladiator titles including two rank 1 titles on my 2 different priests, and I would be more than delighted to help you out and answer any questions you may have.

Before you ask a question, please explain carefully what your actual problem is.
A question like "How do I kill X in a duel" doesn't help much, tell me what your experienced are, what exactly ****s you up (is it a CC, is it a high dmg spell, is it RNG).

I'm most experienced at Disc, having played this for 4 seasons in total, Shadow the rest - so all questions should be answerable (I'm sure I'll have some lurkers come in a correct me if I tell bullshit)

K i play a shadowpriest since vanilla wow. I never had problems dueling a frost mage before. So basically let's say im dueling a frost mage outside Durator.. i dispel everything of the person, put dots on him and mind flay to make swp 18 secs long. He tries to sheep and i SWD that, but it was a fake poly. i trinket the real poly. AFter that he pops mirror image + water elemental and goes into a full burst mode. i Disperse the Deep freeze and after that im still taking raid boss dmg. Im trying to heal myself but my shield/renew get spell stolen. When i hit 100% hp again i silence the mage , redot all up , mind flay , fake cast mb to see if he will CS. If he doesnt CS i use my pet on him and dispel ice barrier. i use shadow word death, spam devouring plague like a real hero .. but he does a CS > Sheep and uses evocation. Once he is full he starts doing his raid boss shatter damage and then i try heal , spellsteal , i dispel it from him.. psychic horror , redot and then psychic scream + mb, he ice blocks that obviously, After that he sheeps. He does cold snap, pops new WE and starts doing raid boss dmg again and i dont have anything anymore.. and i practically die.

Hey there themaster.

First of all, that sounds like a manly duel.
Way too long though - You can end him in seconds.

Start agressively, either by getting the sw:d or by instantly using horror to get ur VT up. Dot him up, make sure icebarrier is gone then watch him.
If he is still going for the poly, let him hit it on you, he will have full dots and go to 50% while ur sheeped.
Dispersion if he goes all out with his pets and mirrors, otherwise keep renew dots on him, make sure you move towards him while dispelling/dotting - don't worry about VP for now unless you can fake cast it on him.

Now once you get to him, or have dots up and icebarrier down, silence him, give him a mindblast followed by a full mindflay. If you're close enough, get the fear on him, but chances are he'll bubble your silence.
He should now be sitting on 30% or less, as soon as he comes out of iceblock, he is either gonna try to get evocate off, or just burst you.
If he bursts you, just burst back with a dispelled icebarrier and dots (if ur scared of the counterspell, give him DP spam till he dies)
If he tries to sheep you for evo, be ready with the sw:d, should you fail it just trinket. You might wanna wait for him to blink so that he thinks he's away from you and safe, however if he has pets up to slow you, you should trinket the second you get poly to keep up with him, spamdispel yourself from slows.
Get his Evo, and kill him down with DP/fakecasting.

- Remember to always save sw:d, there's nothing more annoying than getting sheeped when he is on 5% and watch him go drinking to full.
- Never heal with hots, holy nova is really the only instant you should use, if you practice you can time it so that prayer of mending jumps on your 1 time then goes away, using that as an instant. Other than that, getting 1 tick of Diviny Hymn aint' bad either.
- Remember the mage will be focusing your shadowtree, as soon as you have full dots up and ice barrier dispelled, feel free to heal yourself to full while he is turreting you with frostbolts - should he counterspell a heal you have free time for 2 full nuke sequences

It's really a fight that comes down to how good the mage is - if he gets fakecasted, he loses, if he manages to keep you cced and hits your shadowtree, u might lose.

I have played a lot of different classes and always played PvP - I think it's a matter of knowing all class strengths and weaknesses.
Just knowing that you can actually OOM a pala by doing the right dispels wins you many games, even in shitbracket 2v2

I've just reached 1,8k as disc but when I've tried 3v3 me and my teammates always loose (on rating like 1,5k). I don't think it's be or something but since I got fed up with it I'm thinking of becoming a SP so for the question, is it harder to play 3v3 as disc or as shadow?

Hey there Pattalutt.

I can't really say what's harder - depends what you are used to and what comp you play.
It's also quite different healing vs dpsing.
I would say the hardest is Disc, because "basically" in shadowform you dot up everything and watch it die slowly.
You might not have good partners or your synergy might not be good enough, just keep practicing and it'll come in time.
You are more than welcome to tell me what setup you currently play or what setup you could play as shadow, and I'll gladly give you some tips vs specific comps or situations.

If you want a clean advice on your question, yes go try shadow, you will love it for sure, and the skillcap is much lower than disc

as Disc priest you don't have much CC skills and if your friends cant CC you will lose but as a shadow priest you can put at least one enemy in hyper CC state with silence/horror/scream/mind control(if you feel safe) so you and your friend can fight 3v2 or at least your CC can be even with opponent

While this is true, the spirit vs crit could still arguable be a tan better. But yeah, it doesn't make a huge difference - I even ran shadow with Solace untill I got heroic DFO

Dear masterx, We're currently playing Dispellcleave on 2630 rating, and we're going to push glad. But i sometimes think Dispellcleave is to op, so i do fun stuffs like using cds bfor arena starts and such, can you pls help me with this idno why i do it my teamates goes emorage like tunnelvision amadon and when i manaburn i sometimes keyturn for fun pls the warrior is starting to consider THOUGH LIFE TOPAC

Thanks for your answer, I forgot to tell you that I played only 2v2 (rogue/disc) and tbh the rogue weren't that good. He got carried by his 25 ICC daggers and I had to do all the cc and tell hom what to do etc. But then he stopped playing and I'm currently inactive in 2v2. I've tried playing shadow in 2v2 only for a while but I experienced that I died to quick for my taste imo (SP/rogue) and it is easier to play disc/rogue but when we met rogue/sp as disc we usually loose (lost:P) and other games I played with as shadow you had some encounters which you barley has as disc/rogue. Now searching for a 2v2 mate for SP but haven't found one yet, thought of Mage/SP would be nice to play.
Getting really tired of searching for new ones:P. Perhaps I have to find my "soul-mate arena partner"^^ to succeed.

I'm currently also playing 3v3 as disc/rogue/feral and it goes okay imo, 1,6k MMR atm but getting higher. My teammates have some xp (2k) but neither of us have played this comp before and we have a lot of counters on this setup it feels like. Can't think of any atm tho.
I would love to send you my armory etc but I won't due to I'm am involved in botting

Feral/Rogue/Disc is quite powerful if played properly, but it's really up to your teammates, the fears are not as important from you as they are in 2s.
It's basically them nuking something down, you spamdispelling and perhaps trying to setup a fear with either a blind or a cyclone on a target while u move to it.
It's a good faceroll comp for a discpriest as it requires minimum brain and just assist dps and dispels
If you die too fast, your partners are doign a shit job peeling - feral and rogue can peel quite well if they do it properly

That is what I really don't like...That it is up to them if we get high rating. It feels like you can be replaced so easily, you become a robot with only dispelling and healing. I want to do a crucial a part to improve myself.

If you compare it with RMP is it much different? Because I really HATE playing priest in RMP, dunno why rlly.
