Why I'm leaving WoW behind (A Rant)

Before I state why I'm quitting the game, let me just say that I know I am going to be subject to negative comments and I know very few people will agree with my points, but here are my reasons why I've decided to just stop.

    1. PVP is getting worse. I am well aware that PVP in this game was never ever balanced, but it was the most balanced in Burning Crusade. World PVP has also nearly died due to subscription loss which I will get to. The amount of stuns in PVP is just horrible and you're constantly praying that Blizzard doesn't screw your class over. My neighbor loved PVPing and did it very religiously, but now he as well as many other people can't stand it.

    2. PVE has also gotten worse. Nowadays, it's freakin' mandatory to gear up via LFR and put up with idiots who aren't willing to follow mechanics and leave you with a huge repair bill. Not to mention dailies are being shoved down our throats and it takes way too long to gear up for raids.

    3. WoW seems to be steering away from being casual friendly as much as possible. You'd have to be a no life player in order to gear up fast and get into Normal or even Flex. People who have to work for a living nowadays can't even gear up fast enough to catch up, and this game has basically become a rat race which almost nobody has time for anymore.

    4. Now for the big one, the community. Oh my god, I ****ing hate how toxic this game has gotten overtime. I'm honestly surprised that there are people still subscribed with this game now becoming nothing more than "World of Griefing". This community has even pushed me to high anger levels that it almost makes my blood pressure as high as my father's and has especially turned me into the very type of person that I hate overtime.

So in conclusion, I have wanted to hold my interest in WoW and have wanted to stay in the game, but I have simply had enough of of the state of PVP, the state of PVE, the pointless rat race, and the community. I've wasted my money and my time on this game, but at least I know better now than never. Those that disagree with me and still love WoW, more power to ya.

EDIT: Of course... there's always Molten WoW. :P

    I stopped at WLK, 6 level 80s.

Come play Rift. It's free, but you should buy $10 worth of REX and use it, so you can use the Auction House. Other then that, you won't ever need to pay real money again, and it's a great game!

I have to disagree with... some of this.

1.) Did you actually play in vanilla? World PVP was TERRIBLE.
2.) PVE is easier than ever, especially when it comes to gear.
3.) ... This makes me think you literally aren't even playing the same game.
    4.) Yea... agreed.

You know I actually agree with everything you said. I still play, but mostly level cause the rest of the game is eh. I think I'd be more willing to play if I could queue into things like normal or flex even heroic. I have played this damn game on and off since it came out. LFR ruined this game. 4 tiers of the same raid? 2 was plenty, 4 is excessive. Being a healer main carrying baddies week after week. Something has to change. Now with the addition of an instant level 90 with this next expansion, we are going to see more and more baddies appear. It's high time we can group with people based on each characters /played. We are doomed! Hopefully the radiation from Japan will wipe out blizzard before the next expansion.

At this moment pvp is incredibly balanced, every class played correctly can easly overpower any other class it encounters

If its mandatory then how does it work that i never once have done lfr in 5.4? gearing wise, ever heard of timeless isle? yes i agree on dailies part, they are terrible, blizzard learned from their mistake tho and gave up on huge amount of dailies in 5.3, not that im a fan of how they went about timeless isle questing but yeah, i dont spend my time there anyways.

wait? so your telling me that everything should come to you on a golden plate with no effort involved? i work for a living as well, it didnt stop me from finding a place for myself in heroic raiding guild, but wait how could that be, i only play wow about 12-16 hours a week at evenings after work, hmm ITS A MIRACLE. i can tell you one thing, Your problem with raiding is no actually a game, its yourself.

ever tried joining a guild? no i dont mean 'Guild Perks' kind of guild but an actual guild where you play with likeminded individuals, whether its raiding flex, heroic content or just run dungeons, farm stuff or whatever it doesn't really matter as long as you are having fun. if you cant find that kind of place then maybe the problem lies with you?

    1) Did you played during Vanilla? How can it be worse now when everyone is on flying mount, pvp ganking is gone....
    2) PvE should never been easy, and gearing via rng is most stupid design ever, 22x kills on immerseus and 22x coins used and not a single trinket....
    3) It is true to some degree due to rng loot buit timeless isle fixed that
    4) Yup

1.) ganking was terrible, every time I tried to run Mc there was some t3 rogue waiting at the flight path.
2.) this is the way wow has been since the beginning, be thankful they introduced bonus rolls so you can get an extra chance on shit you need.
3.) timeless Isle was just a "catchup" fix

    1) ganking is a part of PvP realms, now you can level from 1-90 without being attacked
    2) No it hasnt, there was not so many roles in game, warrior was only tank, druid was healer, and so on. And loot that dropped was for each spec so you couldnt take a priest item and use it. Now hen boss has 20+ loot table getting an item you need is pain in the ass
    3) True, but that is only needed if you have many alts and if you took a long break...

So you're complaining that it's easier to get loot? I always loved ret and couldn't play it in vanilla.

Its not that much easier compared to how difficult raid were back in Vanilla where actually you had to have ress gear for most of the fights and where gearing in previous tier was mandatory. But now when lets say Immerseus has 22 loot table and on 10 man it drops only 2 items then well, that sux. Its somewhat harder to gear people in 10man raid compared to 25man. As i said, after 20kills of Immerseus ( Hc + few normal ) trinkets has never even drop, With coins thats 40 chances, and still nothing. But then back drops or you get it from a coin roll, or same loot drops 3 weeks in a row. Thats why rng system isnt good, as I dont see point in getting item you really need month before new expansion when you have entire raid on farm.

The trinket has a chance of lets say 5% drop rate, on wowhead its 10% but when after 40 chances you get nothing, that really is a downside of anygame. I'm not for fast gearing but 5 months since SoO went live and still nothing, then thats not fast. Same as for leather helm from Shamans, and so on...

RNG with combination of something more then coin roll would fix that. LIke getting a bonus point for each kill ( boss kill ) and after 10 kills you get option to chose item you want and spend lets say 5 coins you can upgrade it to warforge. 10 weeks is 2+ months of playing, so if you didnt get a chance to get item in 2 months or more then I don't see a reason why little bit of help would do any harm...

I quit just after the released of MoP. I enjoyed playing the game doing a lot of achievements, as that was my sole enjoyment, but it got to the point where I had to be an extremely hardcore player just to handle that. The amount of dailies that came into play disgusted me. I wanted to be able to login for 30 minutes to an hour, and enjoy what I was doing, but instead, it seemed to take 4 hours to do all the dailies.

I guess that was my ending point.
