Changing a wow account into my name?

Title says it, now let me explain it.
I have a world of Warcraft account I had purchased from a local classified ad, I received all info, and am receiving a scanned ID in about a week when the OO turns 16. Now here's where my question comes into play. His account (mine) is in his mothers name, i would assume because he is currently only 15. Also a bit of information, his mothers name differs from his, as he took his fathers last name. Can I contact blizz and say I would like to now put the account in my name? (pretending to be this kid, and just send them my ID?) . I'm sure they do not know his age, so I don't think it would strike them as odd when they see that I am 21. also another question to add, would they ask for my ID and my mothers? (his mom)

The account has been active for quite some time, If they question my age, I could just say I had never taken it out of my mothers name?

If you're doing this to prevent the kid from recalling the account, the safest way someone has mentioned on these forums is to buy a 2nd account and transfer the toons you want onto that with a paypal or prepaid card with his name or something. I'm not sure if you can put the 2nd account in your name or keep it in his name. Doing this, blizz will just think its him trying to reverse transfer and get a transfer for free.

I'm still working through this process, I would suggest that you try it though.

One thing that seems to have changed is that you can no longer separate a wow accounts from battle.net, this may just be for EU or the GM just wasn't inclined to do it.

As such I would suggest starting off with a separate wow account on a new battle.net account and transferring there.

Having the personal information removed from the original account also requires that a letter be written to Blizzard.
