Secure purchased account? or ban if retrieved?

So I purchased an account and everything went rather smoothly. Was given full details of the account, could change the email, SQA etc.

Now a week later the OO has tried to recall the account.

Interesting part is Blizzard found no reason to change the email back to the OO and closed the ticket.

Subsequently I've managed to speak to Blizzard online, explained a situation and raise a concern that I'm being hacked. This allowed me to change the SQA.

Can anyone else provide suggestions on how to further secure the account? or alternatively have it banned should the OO retrieve the account?

Also, is there a way I can transfer the main to another account to retain the achievements/mounts even if the OO does retrieve?

You could make another battlenet account with the same name and transfer the character to that, but you'll lose mounts that aren't achievement rewards. Achievements earned on that character will stay in tact though... But this will cost $25, and I doubt it will help much. You could also look into a name change service if you want the account that badly, but most of your options here involve spending more real money.

    Thanks for the quick reply.

I'm thinking a name change so soon after getting the account would be a dead give away. I'll try the option of transferring the main character to a clean account though.

Could you post back after you transfer it to a new account? I'm curious if mounts that are rewards from achievements like Glory of the X and the ones from quest rewards transfer over. Seen too many different claims that:
    1. No mounts transfer except pvp and class.
    2. The achievement and quest rewards get mailed after transfer.
    3. Everything learned on that character transfer.

Don't know what to believe anymore and I'm also considering a bnet to bnet transfer.

OO can always get the account back after a name change. A name change is only really useful in a couple of situations.

    1) Transferring the characters onto your main account
    2) Making people believe it's yours through Real ID

Now, here's what I'd recommend doing.

Buy a new Battle Chest (preferably in-store) + MoP - let's call that WoW2, and add it to the existing Battle.net account. This way you'll have CD keys.

Now transfer the "main" character from the original WoW1 account to the WoW2 account, along with any other characters you want.

Once that's done, create a new Battle.net account with the same first and last name, different SQA.

Now log onto the original Battle.net account, and ask Blizzard to transfer the new WoW2 to the newly created Battle.net account, because you decided to keep the accounts separate. Answer a few questions like SQA, possibly CD Keys. Now you have the WoW2 on your new BNet account, complete with all mounts and characters you want. Because OO doesn't have CD Keys, it's impossible for him to recall the account. Recalling characters may be possible.

Bonus points: Email [email protected] from the original Battle.net's email address, and ask them to remove all personal information relating to this account. Answer any questions they have. Now the original account will be irrecoverable by the OO.

A well thought out plan, would creating a virtual credit card with the original owners details make this seem more legit?

Hypothetically, yes. Whether that's legal or not, I don't know. But that's what I've done in the past when I've MM'd for people / sold account, and never had an issue with OO reclaiming the new account.

    Yes.

    Add new WoW account.

Transfer characters you want to keep onto it.

Log onto them, then log off.

Transfer new WoW account to fresh Battle.net.

    All mounts available.

If this works, you're awesome and I love you, it solves my problem entirely. All that remains is to get a GM to transfer the license. Shouldn't be too hard.

Well said 4096. Might actually use this later on so having the information in such detail here is great.

A vast majority of the times I've done it, I've only had to provide SQA for both accounts, and occasionally tell them the billing/home address on each battle.net account. Just say something along the lines of wanting to keep them separate each with it's own authenticator so your accounts are super secure.

PS: Works with web chat too. Doesn't have to be on the phone.

Hell, I did it while I was overseas on the other side of the world, IPs totally different to what I normally use and they didn't even shrug.

When I transferred one of my own characters to a different battle.net of mine, I kept all achievement/class mounts. The only big ones I lost were a couple of quest mounts (Onyx dragon thing from pandaria), Reigns of the Raven Lord, and lots of other drop mounts, and the Amani War Bear. Everything else stayed except purchased mounts, which was fine -- I still had the rep, so I just bought them again. In my case it was just achievement related mounts that were earned on that character.

    Fantastic approach, thanks a lot.

Same as 4096, but you could attempt alittle different aproach.

Transfer the character(s) you dont wanna loose to WOW2, and "earn" a solid ban on the initial WoW license you already bought, some violation, signed and verified by Senior GM, etc. That way, its almost unretrievable, since its closed "for good", and you will stll hold all the WOW2 details.
