Anyways you mentioned advertising to pugs, etc. Just to clarify you say this over vent and don't type it in chat correct? I mean I've seen a few guildies advertise that they sell gold, but it's usually in a pretty respectful manner that most don't take issue with. I can't imagine sending out a broadcast in LFR chat that you sell gold would end well though.

I wouldn't use LFR chat to broadcast it, like you mentioned; vocal and/or in a safe chat environment. I've had my best luck in the PVP world, saying it on skype when the RBG ends/falls apart.

Hey there, would you say it's profitable to buy a bunch of accounts to start botting with and sell the gold with today's market?

How many accounts would be best?
Should i use the 5$ battle chests?
I have a computer that can run over 10 wow.exe at the time but would it be safer to use more PCs with different IPs?
I'm from EU, but do you think i should split the accounts on EU/US?
Was thinking of maybe having couple gatherer/shuffle accounts and some sniping accounts. Or should skip the sniping accounts?

I honestly don't think I can give great advice to EU servers at the moment. It seems as though their botting regulations are much more monitored than US. I'd say out of 100 banned reports for botting, 60-70 of them are from EU. I've never botted there, but if you do transition to US servers here's what I would tell you.

10 accounts is a bit too much, I wouldn't recommend more than 4:
1 - shuffler/AH poster - level 84 (you can max professions at 84)
2 - gathering (consider fishing and mining) - level 90's
1 - be your main account to hold the guild, maintain the role of GM and maybe camp the AH for sniping. No hardcore botting, make this a $5 account

With these roles pushing at MOST 6 hours per night, you could probably generate 15-20k/day with the right profiles.

I'm not one to talk about computer specs for optimal botting, my first botting encounter I was using a emachine i bought for $200 at bestbuy. I saved up enough money, invested in something "decent", 16 gigs of ram, decent video card and i took the risk with the 8 core bulldozer processor (AMD). It's not the best, but it only cost me $650. I've botted, streamed and am still using it 1 years later.

So what i'm saying, most computers you can walk into a store and buy or pick up on NewEgg are good enough to bot on. It's when you want to do some fancy 5 boxing wow.exe, you're going to want to invest some time and money into a nice rig.

i brought 2 $5 battle chests 3 weeks ago raf them leveld to 60 in about 2 hrs then set them of to bot away..

they have like 2 days left on game time been botting 24/7 non stop i currently have 8 guild banks 6 tabs each filled with bars/herbs/fish and just over 1.2mill gold

i found thorium ore the best money maker.. stack of bars sells for about 100g on my server and im selling a ton of em daily mithrill just as good in sales wise bout 70g a stack and arcane crystals at 50g each high pop server so they sell good to

never took em to outland stuck to vanilla zones only

im guessing ive just been lucky as hell this time around ... my last attempt at botting before this was not so good hit lvl 90 maxed mining herbing lasted 3 days of botting in valley made about 150k though perma banned all apeals lead no where

Nice job finding your niche! It's great to see other botters telling their stories.

Pandaria looks like it's a shit storm to bot in at the moment, but I'm finding niches elsewhere. I recommend profession kit botting and reselling mats. It does well, and there's never HUGE competition.

You've touched on safely moving gold, but what would be your approach if you were to sell to resellers? I 'play' the auction house and I understand minimizing damage with multiple accounts that have access to a guild bank, but I have hundreds of transmog and other valuable auctions that build on themselves and ramp up the income. I'd like to be able to sell smaller quantities, but losing my auctions can be a detriment to getting the train rolling, and a private buyer isn't an option for me at the moment. So in my situation, unloading all of my auctions into a guild bank and waiting for a ban that may or may not come would be a detriment to my income. To be more specific, I have 76k ATM, and I started four days ago (from scratch on a brand new account), and I'm getting great offers for about 50k I'd love to take, but risking my auctions is scary, because I haven't even sped up yet. If I was able to sell in smaller quantities with some kind of damage control for my auctions, I could maximize my profit by taking great offers the resellers have for me at the time on the smaller amounts. I could really use the money right now though, if you have any input that would be great. Thanks for this whole thread by the way, sharing secrets is always a give/give, and the only payment you get is gratitude in this situation, so thank you, and thank you.

I'm hopeful about your idea that if I go with Ket my chances to get banned are diminished, because if I do get banned my effectiveness will really get cut (my income quadruples when I get to about 2M value of auctions). Otherwise, I do quite well with transmogs, my first run I did 1.5M in two and a half months on a single server, I plan to broaden to multiple servers to really be effective. Quick simple guide:

- Buy a guild with some tabs, at least 100 open spaces.
- Head here: MoP Profession Leveling Guides | 1-600 ; notice they give you kind of specific quanities of items prior to leveling the profession?
- Go gather the mats as per the guide (should take about 1-2 hrs at most, go for the herb/ore type professions) The inscription one, you can just do with 630 inks + some raw herbs
- Sell the mats as a "Profession Leveling Kit" aka "/2 WTS Alchemy leveling kit 15k PST"
- Ask for the gold upfront, have them join your guild at a rank they can't withdraw. Promote them when the deposit gold.
- Rinse/repeat.


This is a very very very rough guide. You can probably do much better as you go along. You'll notice some herbs are 1-2g per stack on the AH, buy them throughout the guide.


You can find a nice by seeing what your AH is lacking in. Look for old world stuff, like Mysterious Fortune Card - Item - World of Warcraft - then bark trade "Try your luck with [Mysterious Fortune Card] for a chance to win 5k gold! Head to the AH. Only 25g for 5 cards!"

There's so many fun ways to learn your market.
