This is not a bug folks, but a very very recent change.

To merge an older never merged (to a Battle.net account) WoW license, you'll want to contact us. Can still be done, just not through the website any longer.

You can open a contact through the Support link in the menu bar at the top of this page.

It was good while it lasted for us botters but we all know Bliz eventually is going to put an end to it...R.I.P SOR..

I don't think so. Basically what it's stating is that if you have never merged this account before, you have to have Blizzard manually do it. So all those hacked accounts from pre-2009 are now useless since it'll be very hard, if not impossible, to get them merged to your b.net account.

Yeah but before you actually merge the account, you can see all the information of the previous user.
It's kinda funny I found all SoR account previuous users and owners on Facebook!
If they are kind enough to give you their ID

Hehe, so basically what you wanna do is message them on facebook "Hi, I'm the one that hacked your wow account, can you please send me a picture of your ID so I can unlock it?" :-p

Still better to have a facebook of the owner, if they have enough information you have some possibilities at least

I managed to merge 1 sor account i bought a week ago.
First time, yesterday, i tried to merge it into one of my old b-net acc (has 3 sor on it), it did not work, saying as the op pointed, that i must contact blizz.
Today i remembered i had an old b-net acc, with only 1 diablo attached, no wow's. I logged that and merged as before.

Idk if it will work for fresh created b-net acc, my guess it will.

Me and my friend just merged newly bought SoR accs on US. Worked like a charm =)
