[HELP] Framerate lag when casting

Hey MMOwned, I hope this is the correct place to post this.

I am having an issue with my framerate on WoW that I'm hoping some of you can help me with.

My FPS drops whenever I cast a spell. So far I have put all of my video settings on their lowest, and have tried disabling all of my addons.

This does NOT affect any mount casting.etc Just abilities.

I have also found that this does not affect abilities that have no actual animations that show on my screen, such as overpower or mortal strike.

Strange indeed.. Try running the repair tool in your wow folder.

If not make sure particle density is at minimum. Otherwise.. have you tried re-installing?

Repair tool did nothing :/ Particle density is at minimum, still nothing

I will try reinstalling soon, just want to see if anyone knows a quick fix.

I have just found out something that makes this even stranger. I'm getting this error on my undead warrior. I logged onto my Human DK and I have absolutely no issue at all, I can cast every skill on my bars without any lag at all. But on my warrior almost every spell causes the fps drop and freeze. Confused.

I think that pretty much all of my video settings are on lowest. I do have triple buffering enabled, but I think yesterday I tested with it on and off and it made no difference.

Problem Solved. It was a problem with two interfering addons. Thank you all for the help

I've had a similar problem. If i don't reset recount very often it lags when i attack or heal. Even with 8 gb's of ram. Glad you got your problem solved.
