How to help remove lag

Okay so i've been on a bad computer and like the crappiest DSL/Broadband i've used and so I had to improvise This is just a little guide i decided to put together to help with lag.

Easy(praciticly no time required)
Reduce video settings Reduce all sound settings
Use as little addons as possible
Close uneeded/wanted programs



Little harder(takes more time)
1. Empty the WoW cache (my computer-Local disk C-Program Files
-World of Warcraft-cache)
2. Empty your WTF folder (same steps as before except click on the WTF folder instead of the cache)
3. Disk Clean up(click start-all programs-accessories-System Tools-click disk cleanup) I only delete the temporary files there just to be safe
4. Disk Defragment (same as before except click on Disk Defragmenter instead)
5. Scan your computer for viruses
I use AVG Free anti-virus seems to work well download here:

6. I use this to scan for problems on the computer:
http://www.spybot.info/en/download/index.html


Other tips:
Get a kick butt computer and internet connection

Thats it I hope this helps you out, I'm no expert but I hope this can help you guys out

D: why would you want to get rid of lag from this site? he's such a nice guy. haha im sorry, i had to. but ill go try some of these out, my comp is pretty much a POS lol hopefully this will help other ppl too.

i dont know if many have heard of this but if you go on google and type in "Crap Cleaner" it will come up with a free program which you can d/l
this program cleans what you specify it to clean, whether that be internet history + cache or your registry clean up (back up first)

it also has a tool which can turn off those programs that automaticaly start up as soon as you turn on your pc.
