Epic exploit, but can't figure out how to repeat

Well, I switched from demo to destro, and summoned my imp. Much to my amazement I found a hot ticking on him. It was crit healing every .5 sec for 120 mil, with a duration of 25 days. I can't remember the last time I used my imp, it's probably been a couple months. I was thinking of what I could solo, so I went to heroic stonecore to test it out. I had him pull the first 5 mobs and unfortunately he only has 77k health. He survived for a while but had too much incoming damage at once and died after a bit. If I would have solo'd a boss it would've worked like a charm, as long as they don't hit for more than 77k. Here's a screenshot:


I tried switching between dual specs, pulling out my other pets, nothing worked to get it back after he died. If anyone has any ideas it would be greatly appreciated and could be an epic glitch.

This has been happening on some instance runs i've been in too, we just let the pet take aggro and tank half the instance lol. It looks epic but sadly it's not repetable and i have no idea what triggers it. Must be some patch at some point.

was it just your imp or any of your other pets? I'm thinking about having druid cast wildgrowth in a formed raid group and dismissing pet and leaving. But it just seems like too much work. I can't even remember what I was doing last time I used my imp. I would love if I could get it to work on voidwalker or something, then you could go back and solo w/e you want.

I honestly can't remember but i think it was a fel reaver... Doesn't really matter tho if you can't replicate it.

This sounds familiar to the holy nova disc priest exploit a while back. You mentioned you haven't summoned your imp for a couple months, so I'm thinking maybe your imp was in the radius of a disc priest practicing the exploit at the time, maybe a resto druid was spamming wild growth too, so the name of the buff could be of no importance. Maybe you went offline or dismissed your imp at that time and it retained the holy nova/wild growth buffs, and after the exploit was swiftly nerfed that could have been an unforeseen result of the nerf. Allowing pets that had the buff of the holy nova spam to keep it (they forgot to check that maybe), and the nerf changed disc priest mechanics so that could have extended the duration on the pets some how. I'm just thinking of was to duplicate it though, could be totally off.

Doesn't really matter tho if you can't replicate it.

Jammu69... just because you don't know what triggers something, and it seems random... do not be so quick to state that something "is not repeatable".

Most glitches in the World of Warcraft, if not hotfixed or patched, have been found to be repeatable.

you might be able to dismiss pet with a raid heal and switch specs, wait a few days and see if it still has the heal. I think heroism works too

I had something similar with my shaman.. I could dual-wield in ele and resto( after a enhance to resto respec) Unfortunately when i respecced back to enhance at 85 this didnt work anymore.. Leveling was pretty nice tho with dual Flametongue in Ele
