Hello everyone. I am new to Ownedcore and also new to exploration. In fact, I found the forum because I was searching for tips on how to explore properly.

Would you have any easy explorations I could try in order to learn and also see some interesting things in WoW?

I have already tried Zul'farrak, the WKM room in Orgrimmar and Stormwind bank, but I am eager to try more. Would yo uhave any recommendations for someone who is just starting out?

    Thank you

You can break out of most dungeons with just the basic tools like darkmoon tigers and a giant growth pot. Its accessing certain parts of the dungeon that requires more advanced methods. I would suggest Quel'Thalas and Karazhan as some easy explorations to try. There's also a thread here which talks about most of the public exploration methods.http://www.ownedcore.com/forums/worl...orial-wow.html ([Project] Exploration Tutorial for WoW)

Please check out my YouTube channel. Sort the videos by release date. The first 60 or so videos I released are basically "how-to" vids, and are very easy to follow.
Link in my signature will take you to one of my more recent videos... I'm sure you can find my channel from there!

It'd depend on if the game files were removed from client on patch; Blizzard are famous for "moving" things instead of deleting them though, so it might be hidden in a phase somewhere.

    Brewmoon Festival

    Dagger in the Dark

    Dark Heart of Pandaria

    Gate of the Setting Sun

    Terrace of Endless Spring

Looks like "Dagger in the Dark" is your best option.

I've been thinking about this question for a while, i've been exploring secret areas in this game since tbc, i love it, although i have never contributed so i might start doing.

But here's a good question for you guys, do you think there are some things so deeply and well hidden we've yet to find?

Yes and no. There are definitely some places we have yet to find and access legitimately. However model editing has been around since vanilla WoW and has been used to explore all if not most of the maps in the game. I don't think we'll ever be able to reach places like Development or old outland on live servers without model editing. (Technically Dopefish reached old outland legitimately once but that was a long time ago. I also don't think he was able to walk there. Just flew past it.) Even with model editing its highly unlikely we'll ever see development again.

The problem with this question is that it suggest it's possible we've found everything already, if the latter half isn't true. There are definitely things we haven't find, and as exploration methods advannce, these things become less hidden. It's pretty much possible to explore any dungeon or raid now with the Darkmoon Tiger exploit.

Does anyone know what the little icons are that border the end-game walls, such as the ones seen on https://newmaps.marlam.in/Kalimdor/18/7/-62.504/92.156?
They've been in game for a long time but I've never discovered their meaning.

They're all over; obviously there for some sort of reason.
