The shape you see in SFK existed back in the WoW alpha , pretty nice find.

I was trying to compare the shape of this land to the shape of Gilneas in beta but i didn't really see any similarity



Although If u look in the north east corner that does kinda look like the area in ur third image

It's a remnant of the initial implementation of Gilneas back in the early Alpha of WoW. It never got very far in development though before being dropped.

last time i checked Gilneas will be a phased instance zone would explain it so be a lot like the blood elf portal and stuff

I bet they'll have an "instance portal" going all the way up into the sky, or limit flying in Azeroth to people with Cataclysm.

they wouldnt do that because it gives people an unfair advantage over the people who dont have it that isnt level based

Yea....I cant wiat what they invent again... look...Tauren lvl 85 fly above the ironforge to wetlands... to gilneas on lvl 1 zones kill everyone and again...Killing spree..
