Why not label use of all exploits as not being 'true exploration'? If I'm not mistaken, has exploration not always been about using exploits to reach areas you are not supposed to, be they wallwalking, walljumping, corner jumping, or simple faults in the terrain? Of course, there are places that require no exploitation of any kind to reach (such as the area behind Silithus, or Ortell's Hideout in Dun'Morogh), but otherwise, exploitation plays a large part in exploration.Using such an exploit is also not "true exploration"
Don't get me wrong here. I am neither defending, nor affiliated with OotHE. I am simply defending this particular exploit, and the fact that it allows you to access and see places that have long since been walled off (such as Karazhan Crypts or Hyjal), without resorting to the use of private servers and sandboxes.
A thousand deaths upon you this day, good sir.
Yes, exploration has, for the most part, always used exploits. However, it's generally a small exploit that allows you to take a route using a different method, not completely changing the world.
I'm not saying this isn't a cool glitch. I'm just saying, it's not true "exploration" as it's been defined for so long.
You don't have to use a private server. There are a multitude of methods still possible to explore these places on live servers.
Welcome back Idusy tard :P
I'm not entirely sure about Karazhan Crypt (other than that there's an invisible wall at the entrance which vetoes any attempts at gaining entry), but I'm pretty sure that gaining entry and exploring Hyjal on live servers is currently impossible, unless there is some method of evading the No Man's Land debuff that I'm unaware of. I gave those two examples in particular because they were the first two that I thought of that (to my knowledge) are otherwise unreachable on live servers. You don't have to use a private server. There are a multitude of methods still possible to explore these places on live servers.
Anyway, that aside, I guess I do agree with you in that this isn't quite exploration as we see it.
A thousand deaths upon you this day, good sir.
Well, with this glitch I was able to go to the Karazhan Crypt. I can touch water without disconnecting.
How : Take the zep from Org to Undercity, go near Scarlet Monastery and disconnect with the macro. You will be in Ashenvale. Go south of Tanaris (on the water) (need waterwalking) and there will be portcullis with weird names : Doodad_PortcullisActive06.
Disconnect under these and you will return in the real world in the karazhan crypt
Edit: I will make a video soon

They moved GM island off the normal world server. Talk:GM Island - WoWWiki - Your guide to the World of Warcraft
I'd love to hear this from a more reliable source. Not one that says:
on the same page -.-Looking at the 'Lore' Section it states there only 2 NPC's on the whole island, thats not the case, theres aleast... 20 there, or more. they sell all the Epic and powerfull Weapons in the game. aswell as all the diffrent Armor teirs and such.
Welcome back Idusy tard :P
Thats not true WoWWiki doesnt know shit bout it
It's a fact. GM Island off the coast of Teldrassil, NW, but it is so infinitely far, that you'd need to be one heck of a mad scientist to even think about getting there. That's where I come in. xD
What's a fact? Are you saying it's not part of the Kalimdor ADTs anymore? Or are you just stating the incredibly redundant fact that GM island as far NW as it's ever been?
Edit: On the wiki page the same guy admits:
"OK, you're right. I thought it was an instance since a client-side coordinates addon tells me that I'm inside an instanced area while I'm on GM Island."
cbraccia created one of the most fail posts I've seen in my life.
Welcome back Idusy tard :P
I tried this out once and the first 5minutes i was "like woh!! i iz pro flying in azeroth is awesome. After while it kinda hit home that its just like parralel world im sorry but this isnt exploration for me
When i explore i want to Actually b there and put some general effort in the journey and thought instead of a macro to get me hovering between two continent textures.
So thanks but i dont rate it exploration![]()
Every1 knows Jesus was a shaman, think about it the reincarnate, the waterwalking... comon he was cc'd d for days!

Now this is how feedback should be like. A good and courteous response, yet an honest opinion.
As you said, Otherworld is a fairly nifty glitch, but it isn't something close as a substitute for the actual thing. In example, why get under Otherworld Stormwind when you can go to the normal one? Some features in Otherworld are different. In Otherworld Stormwind, it is completely destitute of life, and if you're lucky, a sandstorm will give it the perfect mood for a ghost town. In the instance where you can ONLY get to the Otherworld version of a place though, that's okay, because at least you can hold on to a shred of that glitch (like Hyjal, which is now only accessable as Otherworld Hyjal, or the Stormwind Vaults).
If anything, we use Otherworld more as a tool than a glitch. Another example would be on top of Orgrimmar. Whereas you would most likely need rocket boots, or a novel way to climb the mountains, you can trek through Otherworld, and if you're lucky, find the right place to disconnect on and fall onto the mountain.
And Submit. It sounds as if you're doing the right thing. You go from Undercity to Northrend, get OFF the Zepplin, and go fly in the air, then disconnect. If done right, you should be on the Eastern Kingdoms Map. Dalaran lines up with being barely outside the edge of the world to the north, so HF should be fine. If not, try from Orgrimmar to BT.

This is an extremely well thought out idea, but the only flaw I see is that you have to predict your location using something like .gps on private realms to determine where you will land.
Otherwise, I guess this is extremely awesome since almost every game ever has an 'otherworld'. Glad to see WoW is not an exception.
That's the fun of it though if you think about it. =P We've almost always done everything in otherworld from trial and error. Imagine the metaphor of shooting at a chain-link fence in the dark with a BBgun. Lol. Thanks for the nice complement.
