[Revolutioniary] The Otherworld Glitch

Of course, this is what I did.

Last week, I went to IF with my HS on cooldown. There's a trick where if you log out while in an arena skirmish, you return to your hometown (alliance side dalaran inn, in this case)

Order of events which happened:

-Entered blade's edge arena

-Logged off as soon as I entered (there's no 20 second wait in arena for some reason)

-Tried to log in asap but got disconnected at the loading screen for some reason (maybe due to continuous alt tabbing)

-I logged in on my second attempt, but I was floating in midair and died from the fall (presumeably I was ported to the dalaran inn, but my client side zone was still blade's edge arena?)

-When I released, I was given a spectral flying mount (as I was in crystalsong forest), which I used to see the scenary which the arena could hold-ie I could only go as far as seeing areas close to dalaran, like the VIolet Hold door, crusader's pinnacle, a random ziggurat in icecrown.

Lol. Ya, you pretty much have the right idea. It's not specifically with Northrend though. You can do it between any continent; You can go to Kalimdor - EK, Kalimdor - Outlands, Kalimdor - Northrend, EK - Kalimdor, and EK - Northrend, Outland - Kalimdor Otherworlds. So flying around above Orgrimmar is not all not normal. LOL. I got banned for 2 days because I was being cocky and stayed flying above everyone in one spot for 2 hours. xD

Ya, it's exactly a parallel universe, although 'plane' would be more specific since it's the same place, but a different reality. xD And LOL to the FMA guy. What on earth is tault? And I live in America, I don't need your Euros (although they're worth more. >.>)! Bua ha ha!

o.O how can you fly in REAL orgrimmar? I understant that u can change the map to kalimdor but ur rly flying in northrend? you can only see empty orgrimmar? or am i missing something..

I'm not "flying" like how you would in Northrend, but because the map I am standing on is Eastern Plague Lands, I am floating and running around in the air. I can't see that I'm in Orgrimmar, but I am.

I would not try to give this glitch out to much! it is a very nice glitch that blizzard should not look into. just a friendly reminder

The thing with this glitch is it is so old. It's been around since WoW pretty much started up. It's in issue within the game that's imbedded into how the mechanics of the game work. Unless they do a complete overhaul on the boat system and how continents are layed out, it'll be around for some time. Thanks for the reminder. =D Awesome avitar, coolshawno. Lol.

anyone know how i would do this on a private server... seeing as i cant use the disconnect macro because it will just change my text color...
