Okey, I can confirm that Klykan did in fact manage to duplicate his characters, so this is possible. People reported they did manage it and some did not. I guess it has something to do with the time frame in the character process you return the mail, but that's just a theory.

But read my above post if your planning to try this, Blizzard could reverse these transfers, but you could get some pretty damn good gold selling deals by duping stuff this way in the meantime.

Did you logged into your "pending transfert" toon during the transfert or you didn't logged in after pressed the Transfert button?

My transfer never got "stuck" on pending transfer, it got completed after a few seconds. And after it was completed I had two characters.

He did not do that, the reason why is because he showed me both toons, and when I searched in armory, only the original showed up on the realm the original was, which is normal after a recent transfer (that the other one doesnt show up after a while that is).

The question is, will this reset/fix come server restart on Tuesday? Or ever in that case. I can only see this being worth it if you were already considering using the free transfer already or if it was possible to use this for duping items.

Interesting to see that people are giving the OP rep when they haven't even confirmed for them self that this works.

You can do it with faction change. Figure out the rest yourself :P

One of the characters will receive a temporary name wich is really ODD, and you will be prompted to change on login, but once changed, you keep both toons..

Troll, doesn't matter that it didn't show up on armory.

Here are some things that you should have checked.

Did he show you the transfer page where it showed his transfer was complete for the character mentioned?
Did you check the activity on the armory?
Did he add you to real id to show it logged on from the same account?

I could add tons more, but simply showing a toon of the same class / level on two different servers isn't hard.

you will always be asked to name change if your name on the new realm is taken, or with a race change, as well.
