Excellent way to farm Lovely Charm's while asleep! (Hunters)

It still works if you go afk. You're on the mob's threat table even if it's 0. Therefore, you get credit and can get charms being afk.

When your pet kills a mob all on its own you don't get credit whether you're on its threat table or not (I just tested this out to make sure it was still the case) you have to do at least a little bit of damage to it or you wont get anything from the kill.

EDIT: You still can't loot mobs only your pet damages but you CAN get the Lovely Charms. My bad!

Though the issue still remains that you will go AFK and get logged out eventually.

I just checked and got no charms while pet on def...I was not even afk.

Just auto-logged from being afk. Took almost 8 hours to get logged out of the game.

just done it on my nub pala (nub gear wise), soloed first boss after a few tries (damn melee range interrupt), got 350+ charms in about 15-20 mins

ATM I'm just running an autoclicker at their spawn point, clicking my arcane explosion but after awhile im out of mana.

Was just at the Slag room in HoL, cleared the room twice over and only got one charm. Has it been nerfed again? Or am I just very unlucky.

HoL is a weird one, sometimes you can kill a huge amount in a row and not get 1, then all of a sudden you can get 5 in a row. Keep at it I say until you think it's been nerfed.

FYI folks, ToT was, as of last night @ around 2 am Eastern Standard time, NOT nerfed. ToT provides around 1000 Charms (100 Bracelets) Per hour (+/- 200 for luck lol)

I cleared Slag room last night for about an hour.... sometimes I got 1 charm... sometimes I got up to 9.

Not nerfed at all, just random whether a kill will drop a charm or not, so the number will always vary.

i get 200-300 per hour in slags, not nerfed yet...slower but my DK and druid cant solo Throne yet

For BM hunters, go to HoL, and sit in the spawn point with a Spirit Beast on Defensive. The Slags will spawn, hit you, then your pet will kill it and you will get the charms. No macros, no clickers. Won't log you out being in combat constantly.

I tried this last night but came back 2 hours later dead and disconnected from the server. I'm assuming the DC was because I died and didn't move for awhile but I'm not 100% certain. But anyways yea, the spirit beast pet as BM still wasn't enough to heal me through it without using a spirit heal macro. Spirit heal is so damn annoying when it's on automatic it just chooses not to heal me until I'm under 70% and it just eventually can't keep up with the slags. That's with the self heal talents and a 392 ilvl, parked at the first column in the slag room. Not having success using this strat, and I'd really like to do it without using a button-presser.

Tried this last night, worked wonderfully. It may just be me, but in my experience just letting your pet do all the work while afk seems to net less charms?

To get around this, I used my logitech g19 keyboards macros. I specced BM, and made macros to hit Kill Command every 6 seconds, and Bestial Wrath every 1.5 minutes. Stops you from afking out, and massively increased the drop rate, at least for me personally.

Could someone please give me name of free program like remouse ? looked around for one hour , ghostmouse can't loop , maybe im just terrible at it , please help me out find something which will record mouse/keyboard so I can give long grinds of charms a go.

Mithrandir, I use the jitbit macro-recorder link the OP posted, and it works perfectly. You get a 40-day trial for free, and it'll do more than just mouse clicks (pretty much anything you do). I highly suggest it!
