Excellent way to farm Lovely Charm's while asleep! (Hunters)

I went into HoL to try and do the Slag farming method, but when I kill the Slags, nothing drops off of them, they just die and despawn a few seconds later.

Has it been hotfixed, or am I going about this wrong?

you have to talk to the npc that gives the quest to give a present to a horde leader. Ask for a charm collection thingy that has to be in your inventory as you kill the slag

Farmed this with my death knight, guess i can add to the post by giving a guide how to do this with a death knight instead of a huntard.

First off, you want to be in a blood spec in unholy presence, i did this in full dps gear, and having trinkets such as bone-link fetish and other procbased trinkets helps, since every time they proc, you will oneshot the unstable corruptions, giving you a much needed respite, since the macro i have only uses vampiric blood + runetap to regen hp. (if you have souldrinker you should use it, even though it would lower your damage normally, blood boil is unaffected by weapon dmg, and the heal proc is nice for this, since the goal is being able to afk without the risk of dying.)

The macro i Used looks like this:
#showtooltip Blood boil
/target unstable corruption
/cast Auto Attack
/cast icebound fortitude
/cast vampiric blood
/cast blood tap
/cast rune tap
/cast anti-magic shell
/cast blood boil

It may seem like overkill to use all those survival CDs for just killing off corruptions, but the debuff they give stack and may kill you if you are afk for too long otherwise. and i only used a auto mouse clicker, not a bot, so i could only spam one button, and that only allowed the use of abilities wich is not affected by global cooldown.

I had my clicker set up to click the macro every three second, i have been able to do this for 2 hours as of now, and never droped below 70%

If your gear isnt good enough, reforge mastery into dodge or parry, since you wont death strike anyway.

Edit: glyph of blood boil is recomended, and make sure you are facing the corruptions so you can auto attack

Best way I found out how to farm these charms is to go to throne of the tides normal and kill first two bosses.

Afther that I go to the "gauntlet" on the left boss (cant remember the name) and kill Unstable Corruption - NPC - World of Warcraft.

As long as you dont kill the last two elites the corruptions will keep spawning.

For anyone that has Honorbuddy and wants to bot at the Throne of the Tides spot, I found this profile which works great. My blood dk ran around it for an hour or two without problems

In WoW, bind your Interact with Target to anything

Open two instances of _keySpam (or any other keyspamming program I guess)

First instance of _keySpam needs to fire the macro #1 at a 1200ms frequency, infinite loops
Second one has two commands: first one fires macro #2 at a 1000ms interval and the second one uses Interact with Mouseover key on a 100ms interval.

Using the keyboard macros to use Interact with Target keybind 0.1 second after using Jeeves, which results in me using Jeeves + repairing items constantly. Every hour, basically will never go broken.

After sitting my BM Hunter in the room with the Slag in HoL normal I have about 300 charms. I have my Chimaera on defensive and a macro that puts down Explosive Trap, Ice Trap and Snake Trap on a constant loop. I had my Crab out beforehand for the AoE threat but I found I actually maintained my HP pool better with the Chimaera out. My hunter is also an alchemist however so I have a small heal on every CD but I think I'd manage even without that.

I did this as a Blood DK as well, made a ton of charms, almost enough to buy me and my GF both a bird!

I find this interesting. I'm getting 1in8 dropping a charm.
This is consistent across 5 characters on 3 different servers and two accounts. (One EU and one US)

To be completely honest, the best spot for this, bar none, is in the Corridor with the little elementals in Throne of the Tides, Reg.

i did both the HoL area and the ToT area, and ToT is above and Beyond better.
i believe ToT to be almost Twice as fast.

and all the pulls to get to that area are cake for a Tank class, and im assuming some DPS classes could do it without isssue, expecailly a BM hunter.
