I know the forum says no theories, but I have one that I am unable to test that may allow alliance to use this exploit too.

I've noticed when I do it on my horde character, if I am in Orgrimmar and hearthstone, I don't get a loading screen and the exploit doesn't work. If I am very far from orgrimmar and summon a guardian and hearth back, it still doesn't work. It worked however in Azshara and Ashenvale, both areas are not too far away from where Orgrimmar is.

My theory is that if you summon a guardian as an alliance in Westfall or Redridge, then hearth back to Stormwind, you may be able to do it. I would test this myself except I do not have an alliance character.

I used the method described in the original post except I simply popped mirror image before porting, while in azshara.

I tried to do this, but I didnt get the item dropped from Balboa, even after 20+ kills I still dont got it....... What am I doing wrong here?

The item doesnt drop anymore

The server restarts fixed this bug today.

No longer possible to do it.

Balboa was hotfixed yesterday and won't drop the guardian. Mirror image (and likely similar guardians) still work however, even after my server was reset. Confirmed at the time of this post.
