RNG is RNG. There is no exploit here. I got a mask, the broom mount, the pet, and the HH mount all in one bag, the first time I ran HH on my shaman. My warrior has yet to see such luck, usually only getting a mask or nothing at all.

This is without forcing the pumpkin loot to the mail.

At first glance this seems to be absolutely "just chance". Well, who knows, perhaps Blizz made a mistake somewhere and the item sent via mail is different. I will be testing this every day on my two level 80 toons (A and B) to see if it was just all "luck". Before trying this, I have obtained absolutely nothing from the loot bags except for masks and JP.

Day 1
A: Female Gnome Mask + Sinister Squashling.
B: Horseman Sword + Male Draenei Mask.
C1: Mask.
C2: Mask + Flying Broom.
C3: nothing.

ADD: I will also ask three guildies (C1, C2, C3) who are also doing HH everyday what they are getting in their bags. They are not aware of the "method" (I wouldn't call it exploit yet).

Day 2
A: Female Orc Mask
B: Flying Broom + Male Undead Mask
C1: Flying Broom
C2: Flying Broom + Horseman Sword + Mask
C3: Mask

OK, I am reporting back to you guys with some more thoughtful and hopefully accurate data on the matter. When I first read this I just figured they upped the drop rate after patch (which they did), and that this was all RNG. BUT, considering some people were getting lucky, enough to get me intrigued, the scientific part of my brain decided I should test this thoroughly... here are my results and analysis.

EXPERIMENT 1

I took two of my toons, and ran them 3 days in a row through the HH boss...

First toon

This was the experimental toon, to which I did the exact method as stated by the OP. I got my bags full using cloth and then received my loot-filled pumpkin in the mail.

Results: First day, no luck, but I got the epic sword, pet, and mask and broom. 2nd and 3rd day I got the HH mount and also a bunch of misc HH loot (helm/sword/etc..)

Second toon
This was, in a way, my control toon. I ran him NORMAL, not filling my bags and looting the helm right away. I did this 3 days in a row in conjunction with my main.

Results: 1st and 2nd day I got masks and points, nothing else. The 3rd day I got the pet, mask, and broom.

-- At this point it seemed like there was a strong possibility that there was something going on with the loot-filled pumpkins being mailed to you. Though, there was still RNG involved so another experiment needed to be done.

EXPERIMENT 2

This experiement I grabbed 10 guildies to do this with me, 2 separate parties. We all did the method of filling our bags til they were full and then did the HH today.

Results: At the end of our runs we wound up in the cities next to a mailbox, grabbed our pumpkin and looted. 6/10 of us got our HH mounts as well as other various loots (I did not get it this 4th attempt). This was very shocking (and sad to the ones who didn't lol) to us.. people were freaking out in the guild because of HH achivement spam lol


Analysis and Conclusion

Ok, let me first say that in our guild of about 150 members, people are getting this mount left and right without the OP's method, so the loot rate HAS increased. But, everyone is doing this everyday and of the 150 we have had about 20 guildies get it so far, roughly a 1/7.5 chance -- Yet with our experiment we managed to get a roughly 60% HH chance rate... This can be determined by first looking at Experiment 1 and seeing as how 2/3 of the time I got the HH (2/4 if including Experiment 2). Also, in Experiment 2 60% of the guild members received their HH mount...


Therefore, while there is still a chance that this all leads to pure RNG, I am going to venture to say that after these trials there is a strong possibility that the OP might be on to something.

So, I say to you, it may be RNG, it may not... what harm is there in at least trying this method out? I say give it a shot!

I will report on the happenings of my guildies over the next couple of days as well. Until then, I say +rep from me to the OP as I got my HH mount out of this and it is leaning towards being true. THanks a bunch! I hope the rest of you found this useful.

Ok, I just wanted to say I repeated pretty much my entire little experiment the last couple of days with other members from the guild to gain a little more data... And, to my surprise and dismay, no one has gotten the HH mount since the little experiement where 6/10 got it lol

So ya, we were just a lucky group and this is pure RNG... OR, of course... blizzard stealth hotfixed it somehow in the last 48 hrs

Ok, after reading this i decided to try it. Mostly becouse im already for a week, trying to get the head for my title.
Last week i did this, on day 2 i looted the head ><
After that i did the same on my other chars, for fun.
Sometimes i got just a mask, an other times i got a blue broom and a pet in one bag for example.

And you know what just happend? All of them in one bag, includig mount!

My conclusion: Looting the bag from your mail improves the chance of getting the loot you need. Sure luck still playes a role, but im sure this method improves your chance. Specially if one full wekk farming i didnt got the head. On day 2 trying this method, i suddenly loot the head. On other characters to

Well my friend tried it too,
How ever he looted the bag at boss, he had only 1 slot left. He opened it while everything else was full. He got it also
