This one is VERY simple.
Lets say you're a human, mount up on your Swift White Steed, and then transfer to horde.
As soon as the transfer is complete, you will still be mounted on your human mount, but be horde.

This is ptr correct?
I hate it when people mention +Rep in their signatures...oh wait...fail
It would appear that items in your mailbox are unaffected.
So mail yourself the Argent Tournament pets which are cheaper for your original faction before transferring. EDIT: You can't have pending mail.
Also: using the item buffer exploit with Titan's Grip should enable you to smuggle one weapon across of the wrong faction.
Beyond that, if you can get an item restored, there are some items (gear, a couple of mounts) that you could have in your mailbox, smuggling them through the transfer system.
Also, quest rewards are prime for smuggling items that could not otherwise exist.
In part because they didn't bother to make duplicates for both sides and in part because your quest progress on faction specific quests is reset.
So, for example, you could have Wrynn's Leggings of Valor equipped Horde-side. Or you could save up one of your SM quest rewards from one faction, do the opposite faction quest chain and do it again for a second. (And, if I read this right, you will be able to change back in 60 days and your quests will be reset again.)
Stormwind Guard's shield stands out as one that would be fun to link as the Hogger reward.
Somebody should set out to get a whole set of items to wear around town that come from the opposite faction's quests.

When is this coming out?
We stand as one, to remember Mirror.
Thanks for this!
I was getting frustrated on how there was a draenei on a swift white hawkstrider in SW x_X
Hmm, Forgive me if I'm mistaken but as far as I know, Swift White Hawkstrider is not a Blood Elf mount, but rather a drop from the Sunwell, which it was possible for alliance to obtain.
I've seen them alot in the past.
Would the mount spell disappear afterwards? and btw, this is plane common sense
Ok, there seems to be some confusion / questsions here. To answer the simple stuff:
1. Faction Changes are out. They came with the patch on Tuesday.
2. Swift White Hawkstrider is from Heroic Magister's Terrace, not SWP (no mounts drop in SWP).
3. This isn't common sense. I mean, if it was CS, then wouldn't you know whether it disappears or not.
My guess is it would disappear since it would only transfer as a buff and not as the spell/ability in your pet book.
I agree with Betray, this is not really common sense,

Hm. Playing with this, one of the more interesting effects I can imagine is to faction change a DK who hasn't finished the tutorial. You CAN hit 60 without doing that.
This would port you out of the DK starting chain instance to your new racial capital, "breaking" the character in a few interesting ways, mostly detrimental.
Hm.
Okay.
I got a nutty one for you. Highly unlikely but should be doable.
Get saved to Heroic Trial of the Grand Crusader without failing on any attempts. Change factions. Before the raid resets, complete it after recruiting a raid group with your new faction.
The tribute chest, based on your old raid ID, should contain the opposite faction mount reward, either Swift Alliance Steed or Swift Horde Wolf because the loot would have been generated before the change.
It seems unlikely you would be unsaved from instances as a result of the race/faction change. They will probably patch this out later if anyone does it. But we'll see.
As a side note: Since you can get exalted with the Iceborn, which takes around 3 months of doing their one daily, you should be able to get exalted with the Hand of the Forsaken this way.
Also, since you retain reputation but faction quests all reset and the process repeats, you could use this to get exalted with all Horde/Alliance factions which give rep from quests, simply by repeating every 3 months. Downside being, you will lose all Wintersaber/Tranquillen rep with every transfer, and Tabard of the Hand and Blood Knight's Tabard both become worthless guild tabards. But should make all city/TBC/WotLK Alliance/Horde factions farmable... and maybe a few others beside if you can get rep from faction-specific quests... without setting foot in a high level dungeon, simply repeating the leveling quests for each side with each transfer.
