If you finish a Raid/instance and then move faction the ID gets wiped, Because its only you moving, So once you've moved you can do it straight away again !

You might be able to wrap a chopper or a flying carpet or a TCG mount. None of those vary between factions except the Chopper, which has race restrictions.

That said, mount race restrictions apply to LEARNING, not USING. You could maybe smuggle a chopper across, sure. You could also do this via the neutral AH.

If somebody has the gold to test this, I'd like to see somebody, for example, get ahold of an Alliance Chopper on a Horde character via neutral AH and then transfer to Alliance. Curious if the faction change script is an automatic flipflop or a separate script each way.

Another thing I'd like tested that should be MUCH cheaper: Does ANY mail prevent a transfer or only UNREAD mail? Ie. read a message with an item attached but leave it in the mailbox.

Now... For those still with me, there IS a mount you can keep when transferring:

The Badge of Heroism Mammoths. These were neglected. You can even find this oversight on the armory. (Anything with a corresponding faction counterpart is listed to the right of the entry.) You can keep your original badge mammoth when transferring and still learn the other faction's. Both are usable regardless of faction. (You can only train the faction appropriate one but if the old one is learned, you CAN use it.)

The real trick IMHO should be smuggling an AV Ram or Wolf across faction lines somehow as these have no race restrictions.

It is impossible to cross faction av ram/wolf.

All mail is considered. It won't even let you queue foe xfer if you have read/unread mail In your mailbox.

Last thing for me....since when is the chopper faction specific?

They are faction specific, always been that.
