Old Crafty Achievement Made Easy!

This has NOT been fixed. This may have been modified by Blizzard, but your chances of catching old crafty are still greatly increased while you have this quest. I discovered this recently because I do this fishing daily for both me and my wife's toon each time crocolisks in the city is the daily. My wife's toon caught old crafty on her first cast while having this quest. Sure, could be insane luck. But then my toon caught old crafty again within 3-5 casts while on this quest. Luck? I think not.

Furthermore, I referred this bug to one of my guildies, who picked up the quest and fished for about 30 minutes, again catching old crafty.

There is no way in hell a 0.1% chance results in the above catches. That being said, the quest does not increase the drop rate of old crafty to 30%. My guess is it increases your chances of catching old crafty to 1.0%.

Perhaps Blizzard intended to fix this bug by correcting the drop rate while on the quest, but incorrectly set the drop rate to 1.0% instead of 0.1%.

In any case, IMO this is not fixed. Your chances of catching old crafty still increase greatly while on the quest, crocolisks in the city.

Im going to completely flame your post. I'd love to know what your search criteria was. This had been fixed a LONG time ago. There is absolutely no way you have recently attempted this. LOLHOTFIX. Seriously... learn to use the search function better. You may have caught Old Crafty while having the Crocolisks quest but the bug has been fixed. tycomeagain

People.. Don't post the same stuff over and over. Two pages of "old/repost/fixed" isn't needed. Another two of "your an idiot" flames isn't needed either. We can silently laugh at him/facepalm at him for being well, not good at posting flawless flames after one has pointed it out.

So, I knew this was REALLY old and REPOST and AGES ago (just HAD to resay that like a million others) but I decided yesterday that since the daily was the crocolisk quest, that I'd give this old one a go...specially considering that I was bored outta my skull all day anyway. So I headed off to sweet ol' ogr and started my fishing adventures. Sat there and fished for just over an hour and VOILA! GUESS WHAT! YAY ME! didn't catch the fish, just a large handful of failure-trout. Thanks for the "contribution" but really you shouldn't have...no really, you shouldn't have.
