Oculus Heroic Achievements made easy.

If you've used the Amber Drake you're probably familiar with the following ability.
Stop Time - Instant - 1 min cooldown - Halts the passage of time, freezing all enemy dragons in place for 10 sec. This attack applies 5 Shock Charges to each affected target.

When you're fighting the final boss, you can actually dismount from the Drake and use an ability which gets you out of combat, like Vanish if you're a rogue.

Call a new dragon, and the cooldown on "Stop Time" will have resetted, and you can use it again for freezing the boss plus all the adds for a smooth and easy kill.

Bosses doesnt effected by diminishing return as far as i know.

I don't think so. And DR resets after 15 seconds if im not mistaken. So if you dont want DR, you can wait 15 seconds.
But i don't think bosses are affected by DR.

If you have 3 amber drakes and 2 of any other color, you a. Get an achievement. b. Can perma freeze the boss for atleast 30 seconds (Depending on class CD's on OOC skills).

I could of sworn the heroic Occ boss had diminishing returns to the time stop, 10 sec 6 sec 3 sec 0 sec or something like that, but i haven't done it in over a month so...

There are indeed diminishing returns, otherwise doing it with 5 ambers would be a joke.

But still, if the Diminishing returns is @ 15 seconds, you can use 1 Amber to freeze him for the full duration.

can confirm this. some days ago i've gone to oculus heroic for the first time with my mage. at the dragons before the 2nd boss i used this bug to stop the time often. this works! +rep, nice idea.

Time stop is subject to diminishing returns. It lasts 10 seconds, DR's reset after 15.

It's because he got the "Occulus" achievement, but no "Heroic: Occulus" achievment.

If he already had the heroic one, he would also already have the regular one.

L-O-L definitely would be saying "Heroic:Occulus" on the achievement pane or chat if it would have been on heroic =O

EDIT: Also the fact that youre getting xp means youre not 80, which is required for heroic (i believe)
