Okay so a quick intro, you see the name thats who I am thats what I do. Plain and simple. I am a beta tester for NCSoft. Gametap/Timewarner and CNN for Timewarner. Beta for Outspark hand picked and EA. Bugs/Glitches take time to find as some of us know.
Now I have been reading mosts post and I somewhat think people are getting wrong of what most human/computer errors are defined as so I will post them here:
Bug-
An error or defect in software or hardware that causes a program to malfunction.
(Meaning, if you see a mob evade, this means they are bugged!)
Exploit-
A tool developed by hackers that is used to perform malicious attacks on computer systems.
(Meaning a tool/program/script(used in MC or a compiler thus creating the exploit))
Glitch-
A malfunction.
(Almost a Bug, used as a synonym for Bug. Meaning, if you drop out of the world, behind a building or under the map, this is a Glitch not a Bug.)
What I am posting here is a minor Bug, tricking the NPC's or manipulating the NPC what I want it to do. This is in regards to 'Dim Flathoof' located at the crash site of K3. You will notice the 'Savage Hill Brute's' located near the crash site, level range 78+.
You will notice about 2-4 of these mobs are evading attacks, dont fret, it is supposed to be that way, they are apart of Dim Flathoof's small event, he will intend to Intimidate them as he passes by. These guys are not your targets.
The directed mobs that are your targets, are the ones the ly outside the range of Dim Flathoof. These brutes must be pulled to Dim Flathoof to be bugged. As you are pulling the Savage Hill Brute's to Dim Flathoof, you must be attack them as unarmed. Doing this will imply that you have them tagged not Dim Flathoof, although Dim Flathoof will still intend to intimidate them. Successfully this will happen, causing the Savage Hill Brute's to run a muck(Note: You must follow them and attack them as they run wild from Dim Flathoof). Eventually they will stop.
Keep in mind, that, if you do not attack them and Dim Flathoof scares them, they will be bugged, evading your attacks.
You can continue to fight as unarmed and you will not be touched during the whole fight. Now keep in mind Dim Flathoof will continue to roam around the crash site and intimidate the present mob you attack, so you will have about 5-7 minutes of time to attack as unarmed before Dim Flathoof re-appears. Goodluck on your Achievements.
