Exploring Scholazar Basin w/o Flying Mount

It is possible to get to the top of the Maker's Outlook without a flying mount.

You need to run up the Avalanche, run east for a few minutes, then use a shield or slowfall to drop down on it from above.

This lets you get the exploration achievement without a flying mount.

In addition, there is a quest that starts up here on the balcony from a chest, so I guess it's easy early access to that also.

Looks pretty cool bro. I think the minimum level on that quest is probably 77, but who knows. I'd go do this but I'm not getting WotLK till the 20th.
