Auto Unstuck can get you banned if you use it too much. It works every 5 minutes, regardless of Hearthstone cooldown. You have to face a wall or stand in a corner for it to work, otherwise you will be teleported only a couple of feet. A easier way but more uncomfortable is to toss your Hearthstone out, if you do that ( or keep it in bank ) you will be ported to your HS location, if your not touching a wall or a cliff.

Well i have used Auto-Unstuck method pretty often as HS, it is great like a double HS, but when you have used it once it becames (10ft blink) so just like someone said (every 60 mins HS) AND it wont help that you face wall cos it will slide the wall.

Facing a wall doesnt help with auto-unstuck indeed but being in a corner DOES work. I can confirm this cause since reading on this Ive been using it often as a free hs while questing, I cannot imagine getting banned without a warning for something that blizzard implemented themselfs anyways.
