[Exploit] Avoid "Energy Feedback" while fighting Vexallus

During the encounter with Vexallus in Magister's Terrace he summons small orbs of Pure Energy that when killed place a debuff on the player increasing damage done by 50% and causing the player to take a significant amount of damage over time.

In heroic mode the stacks from these buffs can be overwhelming depending on the group makeup so here is a little trick to avoid the debuff altogether, you sacrifice the damage increase but you take no damage from the debuffs.



Stand in the RED circles near the candlesticks and when you kill a pure energy you will not receive the debuff from them.

Or...get SL/SL lock that spams drain life immediately when he see the orb...those orbs got like 1 HP so, or if you got a mage in your group, let the mage immediately use Ice Lance, same story. The debuff is actually nice because it increases your own dmg too, and if you manage to nuke them down fast then it's just more fun. I love that stage, seed of corruption spam ftw.

happened to me as well one time, but i was just standing very close to the stairs, icelanced the pure energy and didnt receive a debuff. Will try this on my next run.

The reason that you don't get the buff is because you are standing near an object. This was explained by blizzard when people whined about their bloodlusts (shaman) or berzerker buffs (battleground) disappeared. It's a safety thing. When your character gains these abilities you grow, and this growing also makes your hitbox grow, for example you can get stuck in a door. If they did not do this "fix" you could "grow into" a wall, and get stuck there, and that would suck more than no bloodlust, at least imo

Also works if you tank the boss where he stands, then your orb killer stands against either wall. You get caught on the bookcases and dont grow.

Warlocks killing all the orbs and spamming siphon life/drain life also works if you arent a fan of using terain exploits as the damage debuff affects your drains.
