Collision.dll causing mobs not to attack when enabled

    Hello,

Basically we are running the arcemu repack Legendary Repack, 3.1.X, and so far battling a number of errors have finally hit a brick wall, we want to launch a public server so disabling collision is not an option.

We have the server fully functional, apart from enabling collision.dll and LoS Checks, this would be the final piece to our server and then could continue to develop it.

Any help is greatly appriciated, thanks for your time.

    Things we have tried:
    Re-Extracting and assembling vmaps
Copying the Collision.dll to required folders(or so we think)
    Re-Installing the whole repack
And many other small changes, but any help is appriciated

TLDR; Collsion.dll causing mobs not too attack, disabling enables them to attack, but we are creating a blizzlike server so need a solution.

    Thanks again.

Having tried to solve this numerous times myself even going as far as to edit the files and zones included in the Collision inclusion i can pretty much tell you that the collision system atm is a lost cause for people who are not capable of rewriting it entirely and I'm not even sure if it is workable then.

pretty much the options you have atm is enable Vmaps and hope for the best or do nothing.

Same problem here from while ago.
This problem can not be solved only with c++ scripting its need 3D geometry software developing I'm working at this hard all the day but could not find a way I even tried to mix mangos and trinity core Collision scripts in some way but could not success I think we need a 3D software developer in addition to ARCEMU care about this problem.
But by the way this problem fixed by someone from arcemu developers in linux but unfortunate not windows

Yes, collision has not worked for a very long time to my knowledge. I've tried to fix it as well, but it's way beyond what I know. Your probably going to have to live without it =[.

Thanks for the replys, it was really confusing. But we seem to have fixed it somewhat with a reinstall and re-downloaded 3.1.3 wow and re-extracting the maps, the mobs dont seem to fly anymore or run through walls which is what we were after.

    Thanks again

    Same problem here.
But i didn't try disabling collision.
LoS doesn't work on my server either so I don't think it will matter too much.

what server you are talking about?
if you enabled collision in arcemu you will face problems not only its don't work such as mobs don't attack in main cities and dungeons

was unable to reply in pm heliumz but

    well
    1) downloaded a fresh client of wotlk
    2) reused the extractors ad.exe vmap_assembler and vmapextract_v3
    3) compared the sizes of the folders created( new one were bigger)
    4) put them in the same folder as collision.dll and the world server i was using
5)made sure collision option in config was set to 1
    6) ran server and it worked
guards seem to be working normally along with other pre tbc mobs i havn't tested outland as i dont want to use it, but i have explored wotlk and mobs there seem slightly bugged. i assume this is a vmap problem as i have ahunch i am lacking some

also instance mobs agro without a problem though the lua side of things is a bit messed.

im on windows xp pro using arc emu revision 2782 with some ncdb 47-81

    hope this helps

We used the vmap extracters from the legendary repack 6realms pack, mainly because we assumed it would include all of the maps.

The link to this repack is in the release section of the emulation forum, if its too much to download i will have my friend upload them (he hosts the server i configure via SQL and RDP) let me know.

    sure I did!
and I got my vmaps but not working! I need a better vmaps extractor the one from arcemu is out of date I think for 3.1.3 that why its give a bugged vmaps and even less size than other extractors.. I tried also to use the mangos and trinity core extractors but the same problem!
I hope this extractor solve my problem although I'm sure its not only the vmaps problem! it also about the collision file
