Heya,
Not putting this in SCAMS because it's just a theory. Looking for input from people who have more experience with Paypal.
Was thinking about this a bit after reading up on 'unauthorized transfers' for Paypal and getting money recalled.
Requirements:
- Legit Paypal (Your own) Verified etc.
- Laptop preferred, so you can just use wifi at a cafe.
- Headset for voice chat on your pc (or a USB Headset if you don't have a laptop)
- Skype Phone Number - Very cheap. I think it's about $15 for 3 months for your own number. Make sure it's for your own area code, since they may ask questions about 'closest airport' or 'highway' or something.
Step 1:
Alright, so basically what you do is go to the cyber cafe, and order some gold. (NOTE: I'd use whatever browser you don't usually use, to avoid them detecting your cookies, if they can -not sure)
Give them your Skype phone number.
Step 2:
Wait for them to call on Skype. They're usually fast. Answer their questions and verify it.
Step 3:
Either log onto WoW there and wait for your gold, or go home and wait for it.
Step 4:
DO NOT log into Paypal from your home until a day or two after you receive the gold! Then, log into Paypal, and as soon as you see that transfer, file a complaint of unauthorized transaction. (It will look suspicious if they see your IP logging into Paypal a few times before you actually reported it)
Step 5:
Wait for the money to be refunded. Since the payment was made from an IP other than your own, they should refund.
DRAWBACKS:
- Risking your own money.
- Need to HAVE your own money first.
- Can't do this very much at all, since Paypal will catch on... probably the second time. (So I would order a VERY large amount)
