Mysql and a few questions?

Hello guys, i am back at Mmowned.com and WoW from a long time stop. I am willing to recreate a server, so i can release stuff to the site but i got a few questions before i start.

I forgot a few things on how to create a server, i checked the guides but i didnt find everything. + I changed from window to vista and not every program are working now. So here are my questions : Do you still need mysql to create a server and where can i download it? A direct link plz cuz i looked at the site and i cant find where to dl it from. Also if you guys have a guide or a good repack with world and character DB to recommend or anything else similar, just post it. I will reward everyone who post a link with +Rep.

You should be able to get MySQL at http://dev.mysql.com/downloads/
If you also want an httpd with PHP, I'd suggest getting XAMPP or any other AMP pack

Thanks very much and i got a last question, could someone help me with installing it, i get the 'apply security' error... i opened the port 3306..but maybe i did something wrong, im running on vista. Thanks in advance too and +Rep to you dude
