I have tried this on a private server and it does work.

This folder have:
Cache --> WDB --> enUS
But I have the europen wow verson:
Cache --> WDB --> enGB

Does it still work? Or should I just change the name?

it should work on any ascent server if your worried about downloading some sort of virus just scan it first.
