Hey bro, i got the server up and i can connect, only problem is... when i go to create a character it DC's me and i looked in the ascent prompt and saw this.

ok so i did that and it ran smoothly but now arises a new problem.

When i open Longonserver.exe it runs fine

Then When i open Realmserver.exe it gives me this


Connecting to mysql on localhost with (moocow : ********)
(Using password :YES) '20:31 E Database: One or more errors occured while connecting to the database

Then when i try to start ascent.exe it goes smoothly at first but then it starts saying that all these files arent there or cannot be found i cannot show all of them but this is an example of one.


Sql query failed due to [Table ' ascent creature_formations] Query: [SELECT * FROM creature_formations]

then it keeps saying Connection to logonserver on 127.0.0.1:8093
Connection failed. Will try again in 10 seconds

lol, I am lost for where your at. I think my problem isnt that bad I dont think, but I will look into yours while im working on mine. Cause I want this to be a personal thing for now.

EDIT: I think I see your problem. I dont think you even need to loa the realmserver one, I didnt do that, but maybe thats the reason mine isnt working. I have the same problem u do i just realized xD maybe its cause of the realmserver prompt.

alright, i dont totally understand how to do it and spartan is sleeping. is there a thread we could go to like he was sayin? cause im sure we arent the only ones this has happened to!

aww man i was hoping that he would be on to solve it tonite but eh guys gotta sleep haha and i dont know much about his repack i know alot about the ac web repack but this one looks way better and way more stable so i wanna get on this one...guess we just wait?

Hay guys im having this problem. When i make a character and i click enter world it loads then i get DC'ed. It happens every time i try to logon to any character. TY for the help... Nice guide though

Hello, great guide, everything worked perfectly, up until the very end.

Unfortunately, when I try to make a character I get disconnected when I press "accept". What causes this? Thanks.

I open logonserver an it works fine but when I open ascent I get a error 'select of database db name failed due to 'unknown database' 'db name'
main database initalization failed. Exiting.

You need to change the dbname in the ascent.conf file as in part 10 of the guide

<CharacterDatabase Hostname = "localhost" Username = "root" Password = "Password" Name = "ascentlogon" Port = "3306" Type = "1">
