Ascent 2.3.3+ Server Setup With Pics

Hm, i got problems with installing MySQL. Everything looks fine but when i click the "Modify Now etc" the installing window just disappears and nothing comes up. Anyone got the same problem? Maybe its because i use vista?

Thanks alot Molo ut now when I start up asent it load for a while then I get

server is ready for connections
remote console starting
loading forced permission strings
attempting to connect to logon server
connecting to logon server on '127.0.0.1:8093
connecting failed. will try again in 10 seconds

OK NOW THIS ANSWER WILL BE REALLY REALLY LONG BETTER START TYPING:

ok so i did that and it ran smoothly but now arises a new problem.

When i open Longonserver.exe it runs fine

Then When i open Realmserver.exe it gives me this


Connecting to mysql on localhost with (moocow : ********)
(Using password :YES) '20:31 E Database: One or more errors occured while connecting to the database

Then when i try to start ascent.exe it goes smoothly at first but then it starts saying that all these files arent there or cannot be found i cannot show all of them but this is an example of one.


Sql query failed due to [Table ' ascent creature_formations] Query: [SELECT * FROM creature_formations]

then it keeps saying Connection to logonserver on 127.0.0.1:8093
Connection failed. Will try again in 10 seconds

YOU DONT NEED TO OPEN REALMSERVER.EXE ..... THE MISSING TABLES ARE IN FOLDER SQL INSIDE ASCENT FOLDER RUN THE QUERRIES THERE

Hay guys im having this problem. When i make a character and i click enter world it loads then i get DC'ed. It happens every time i try to logon to any character. TY for the help... Nice guide though

THATS BECUASE YOU DIDNT RUN THE SQL QUERRIES IN THE SQL FOLDER INSIDE ASCENT FOLDER.... ALREADY TOLD LIKE 300 TIMES... IVE BETTER PUT AN UPDATED THREAD SO YOU GUYS WONT DO ANYTHING... ¬¬

I open logonserver an it works fine but when I open ascent I get a error 'select of database db name failed due to 'unknown database' 'db name'
main database initalization failed. Exiting.

ITS BECAUSE YOU DONT EDITED YOUR ASCENT.CONF PROPERLY

is this with mall or gm island?

YES IT HAS GM ISLAND AND 2 MALLS ALLY AND HORDE

3 PROBLEMS CAN BE FOUND WITH THIS 1ST YOUDIDNT FORWARDED YOUR PORTS 2ND YOU DIDNT SET UP THE LISTEN HOST TO 0.0.0.0 MAYBE YOU MODIFIED IT... AND 3RD YOUR REMOTEPASSWORD FOR YOUR ASCENT AND YOUR LOGONSERVER DOESNT MATCH

as told before you dont need to open realmserver.exe
now for changing your ip to hamachi you need to set that in your realms.conf where it says:
<Realm1 Name = "SPDB"
Address = "HAMACHIIP:8129"
Icon = "PVP"
Colour = "1"
Population = "1.0"
TimeZone = "1">

what commands are youusing mate...check a list of the commands using .command or in this link:http://www.mmowned.com/forums/ascent...things-v2.html
and be sure you set your account to AZ

then you didnt set correctly the AZ flag in accounts (already tested all commands and work)

Hey guys im having trouble when i try to start the logonserver icon i get a msg saying "This Application failed to start because MSVCR71.dll was not found. Re-Installing the application may fix the problem."

Any Ideas??
