Cant get my Mysql to work.. yes i have deleted any previous repacks mysql, i've been in to the "Windows task manager" and had a look around for another running mysql process but can't find any.

Okay this may sound like a really bad question, but here it goes. I have everything working perfectly and this is the best private server thread I've read so far (when it comes to simplicity) I want to play through the game and level up on my own just with the extra money, item spawns, etc. I can't do any quests though because when I complete the quest it gives me an astronomical amount of exp reward. How can I make it so that turning in quests won't jump me to lvl 70? If anyone at all knows how to change the quest exp rewards so I can level up "normally" please help me out. Thank you in advance.

Open up mangosd.conf with a text editor (notepad will do fine) and then look for Rate.XP.Quest =. The number after it will be huge (if I remember correctly) so change it to "1" like this, "Rate.XP.Quest = 1" (without quotes.)
If you want, you can also change the Rate.Talent = 3 and change it to one and that will give you 1 point instead of 3 when you level naturally. Then when you are all done, save the file.

Hey i can't log into the realm it keep saying that it's not the right password or usename -.- i have try those:
usename - password
0 - 0
1 - 1
2 - 2
3 - 3
admin - admin
player - player
gm - gm

and i get this when i lance mangos.exe:

Is your maps folder in your mangoes folder?

i fixs it now its was a fail when i first time out the maps in the folder not all didt get it copy but thx anyway

1) Extract "mapextractor" to C:Program FilesWorld of Warcraft and run ad.exe. When it's done, move /maps/ back to the /MANGOS/ folder.

yeah, about that now. uhm, when i run mangosd.exe, it tells me that "map file 0004331.map is non-compatible version outdated?"

i did as you said and rand the ad.exe inside my wow directory and had my maps folder there, moved it into mangos directory but nope doesn't work, annoying so i'd be gratefull for some help here :wave:

Hey, on the making the server public part, what file do I edit?
Im at Cocuments and SettingsOliver RoundtreeDesktopMANGOSDBdatarealmd
but there are 3 realmlist files,
one is a FRM file, one is a MYD file, and one is a MYI file.

EDIT* I think I know its its the MYD file, but that and all other files in the realmd database show up as a bunch of confusing symbols and squares, with the name and server adress clearly visible, but when I change those then mangos will throw off an error and not load

im haveing this same problem but when i try to edit any its symbols i opened in both note pad and word cant seem to get it working help!

Ok so i did everything, downloaded mysql and did it, then it said cannot do teh security thing, so i opened all ports with you can choose from teh drop downlist but it still dosent work
