I have a problem, when i start restarter, both screens say they can't connect to the database, can anyone help me?

I figured it out, but now i have another problem.
I changed the realmlist table in de realmdb table with navicat to my external IP, but how can people connect to me?
My friend tried to change the realmlist file to "set realmlist [my external IP]" but then, when he tries to login he gets te message unable to connect. Can someone help me

Hey i had problems with this until i downloaded Hamachi... get that and its 110% idiot proof... when you create a server name it will show you your IP address, have your friends get Hamachi and have them connect to an existing server... then tell them to use your Hamachi IP address...

never mind i found it under teh mangos .conf file... thansk this rocks!

I'm a noob and I know it's been asked before, but I was just wondering if anyone could message me a small guide to making it public, I plan on using hamachi, but I'm not sure how to it up (the server that is I got hamachi set up) I got the actual server working so thanks alot for that.

Now i want to play lan with my friends. Since i run the server my realmlist says 127.0.0.1

So i changed my friends realmlist to my ip: 192.168.0.104

now they log in and get to the realmlist. they choose my realm which is the only one there. they get the box "Logging in to game server" and back to realm list. they can't get to the Characterlist. What should i do to make it work?

1) Extract "mapextractor" to C:Program FilesWorld of Warcraft and run ad.exe. When it's done, move /maps/ back to the /MANGOS/ folder.

If you are on Vista, you must right click ad.exe and select "Run as Administrator". Otherwise it will not be able to create the maps.

EDIT: Someone probably already said this, just incase tho. I didn't read the 15 pages lol.
