But unfortunately the 'Individual Progression' update does not work, as the worldserver comes up with an 'acore_world.custom_quest_xp doesn't exist' error. Reverting the worldserver.exe file back to the original one (not the one in the update) resolves this, but obviously the 'Individual Progression' does not work now. I hope this can be fixed as well

Realmlist needs to be set to just '127.0.0.1', not '127.0.0.1:8085'.

When I do that, it gives me an error saying to contact Blizzard support.

Did you change all .wtf files including config.wtf? And did you create the account in the worldserver window?

I did not know I had to do that. There was only config.wtf in the wtf directory. I did create an account on the worldserver window.

I am using the Warmane client, I just changed the realmlist.wtf file and it works fine. I can only suggest you try the same client.

I need step by step instructions on how to get this to work. All the you tube channels and google searches and no one gives a full description on how to get this working leaving out things like after creating an account using the account create bla bla command, i see account is created. When I type in bla and bla for user name and then password says account expired or not found or invalid. USing Azerothcore WoTLK Repack (Playerbots + Individual Progression) plus update. with SPP_Classics_V2. SO something is left out in the description and all the outdated youtube videos.

Why are you using SPP with this? This is standalone. You do not mix two repacks together.

I cant get past the login screen even after doing the account create. what steps are missing. what client thats not behind tons of clickbait and spyware, do I have to use?!!!!

You should download and use the client from ChromieCraft.com/en/downloads. There are no ads or click bait and this is the only client I'm aware that's released to be used with AzerothCore.

You will need that Chromiecraft client and "Azerothcore WoTLK Repack (Playerbots).7z" and that's it, DO NOT download the update as that's for an optional module.

1.) Extract both archives into your games folder, you should have a folder named My Repack and a folder named ChromieCraft_3.3.5a

2.) Follow the instructions for starting the server. The very first time you're going to wait 10 minutes after starting to allow the server and bots to fully initialize

3.) In the window with a red icon named "worldserver.exe" you are going to copy and paste the text - account create Test test - Then hit the Enter key. You're going to paste into the window by using Ctrl+V as you cannot right click in the window. This will create an account named Test with the password test. DO NOT paste the hyphens or spaces, just account create Test test

4.) In the folder ChromieCraft_3.3.5a use the search bar to find a file named - realmlist.wtf - You are going to change the text in this file from - set realmlist logon.chromiecraft.com - To - set realmlist 127.0.0.1 - You will use Notepad to do this. THIS IS THE ONLY FILE THAT YOU WILL EDIT

5.) Open Wow.exe and attempt to login with the account name: Test and the password: test

@Aldebaraan it may be good to put the info about the ChromieCraft client and changing the realmlist into the instructions as I think they are missing. I hugely respect the work though! The server runs so stable I can't hardly believe it

Just for some additional info. As far as I know Chromiecraft is a project run by the same open source developers as AzerothCore and designed to be an 'official' server running with AzerothCore.

Because of it being open source and released by the same devs as the server we're running. It is the only client I find safe and would trust with using for honestly any 3.3.5 server.

Please note that I'm not a developer and and I may be wrong so corrections are welcome.

OK this is how you actually get a game running .

Take note of user name and password at very top of page ....Username: root
Password: test

2)Then take the second unpacked directory , dragon drop it into the first directory overwrite
everything.

3)download a client . I found this one works so far WoW 3.3.5a HD Client.

4)Go into drive:\Azerothcore WoTLK Repack (Playerbots + Individual Progression) directory and edit using notepad

Go to your client directory and find, in my case drive:\WOW Single player\World of Warcraft 3.3.5a\Data\enUS\realmlist.wtf.

clear everything in it (maybe blank) put in " set realmlist 127.0.0.1" without quotes .

5) create a shortcut for the Wow exe and paste it Inside drive:\\Azerothcore WoTLK Repack (Playerbots + Individual Progression) directory, from your first two downloads.

6) inside the Azercore.. folderrun "Start Server.bat" file. a little box will open up pick option (1) and wait a bunch. you may hear a ding when its ready. then in the worldserver window (the one with orange icon) type account create "Name" "password". wait till it says account created in the window with the orange icon.

7) go back to the little box with green text known as the mysql and select option 2.

wait for WOW client to start

type in afformention Username then password and wait.

create a character and your good to go for a bit.

Make sure when leaving game after closing wow client, open each running process, (world server and authserver) and hit control c 2x's in each to close everything out safely .
