The reason it crashes the wow is because the value you edited with cheatengine was a value that was important, and you probally changed the wrong one and then it crashed the game.

so if it crashes wow, doesnt mean it doesnt work. just try again

Had a play with this on hunter.

Can't seem to get any results so far. Visually the cooldown on the icons has gone, but it hasn't effected the ability to shoot.

Somebody on another forum was going on about stings resetting GCD and allowing more explosive shots to be fired. Not managed to replicate that yet either

I changed value of id my Smite to 50000 and ingame my smite changed to...to one of kil'jeadens spell :/ and i cant use that spell ... wtf?

50000 is mostly a "1000 dmg" spell (really don't know what that is and ii think it differs from server to server)

And idd, if you change it to another spell then your game might crash or the spell would just be out of range all the time ..

EDIT: now that i've just fully read your reply .. GLOBAL COOL DOWN does not make your spell instant cast .. it removes the 1 sec COOLDOWN .. the guy mentioned Soul fire BECAUSE with talent hack you can make Soul fire instant.. again GCD is not CD ..
