I am currently running auille's newest repack (mangos) i have to questions that i have not seen asked so far.

(i use phpmyadmin)

1) the server is running wow version 2.1.3 is there a way that i can make it where people can connect to my server without having to downgrade wow to an earlier version?

2) do you know how to make a website so people can create their own accounts using phpmyadmin? most that i have found are being explained with navicat or sqlyog, which i dont use.

both of these two things are keeping my player numbers down and are causing me to lose the players I do have.

any help on this, even links to sites that would help would be greatly appreciated.

alright so i have windows vista and i cant change the realmlist.wtf
what do i do?
i know how to change it...ive done it a million times before on windows xp but when i try to do it on windows vista it tells me
"cannot create the C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\Realmlist.wtf file
Make sure that the path and file name are correct"
anyone know how to change the file on vista?

Ok this one takes a boit to get it right. But here we go. First you go to ur program files. then right click on wow folder. hit property hit security tab. where it says to change permission hit edit so hit edit. find the user click it then hit full prmission and make sure everything is checked. If this doesnt work then click advanced tab under security. then change ownership to the user. apply this and u should be fine.

I have an admin account, with 1 char I can talk with ally and horde, but if I create an other char for example a horde char, only can talk with the ppl of the orde, because the ally ppl I see that speak in common language :S
Any soulution?

Why do ppl kee looking over my question? I guess I just will keep asking, can some1 plz tell me how to fix my portals so i can use them more than once. I have to log off to reuse the portal. Also can some one tell me how to fix my DB so that I can get summoning spells to work like revive pet, demon summonings, non combat pets, snake trap,.... ext?

ey latruwski as I've said I tok your advice and TRYED to make an ascent server, well I was going to set It up and fix th whole router part when I managed to **** my whole family's internett, so ofc they got pissed //last week ;9// Finally the Internett Is fixed and I am really looking forward to ask you and other emulation experts for help along the way to my perfect server

I got one question tho...
It may be a bit newbie but I am one. When I finally get to set the server up to my IP-adress, do I really need a standar IP-adress to get ascent to work both Localhost and on the nett?
I wounder because my brother had a CS server up-going, and we don't got a standard IP-adress.

I was wondering if anyone knew of any easy to use and setup private sever packs. I used to mess around with one of my own a while ago (before 2.0 I think), but I'm still new to this. I'd just like the chance to be God and let a couple of my friends log on and play.
