hi, on the thread "How to Create an Easy Private Server - Fast & Quickly"(ascent guides)

on step number 1 when i click on phpMyadmin i get this error:

zero idea on wtf i did, idk what root and localhost is lol
help me?

root = a username for MySQL
localhost = host on your pc...

to setup a server use MySQL, navicat and ascent core + db...download a database, import it with navicat to your MySQL server then make sure your config files are correct and start sever....
(this is said short, but i think if you have some experience you can do it )

umm i was wondering, id like to just start fresh, how should i go about doing this? get rid of navicat,mysql file and any idea on what else?

if you host the DB on your computer with MySQL then for a fresh start delete the DB with navicat, reinstall MySQL
download a new DB and core and start all over again

I just downloaded Mangos to start doing some private fun I downloaded from a guide here on the forum...
My problem Is that I logg on, none of the commands work my health don't regain and when I died and couldn't move afterwerds,,, what to do ? I'd be pleased to get help and +rep the helper

my opinion: get rid of mangos ! its crap, dirt, a mess...
get ascent much much better

ok i got everything to work until step 3... seems when i run the application file after i edited the CONF file i got this database error that says failed due to unknown database "ascent" i also tryed the database the video gave and that 1 didnt work either.

also on the logonsever application file the last line i see is the

If he is useing same Router
Set his Realmlist to
set realmlist 127.0.0.1

no like it is public and dynamic... it doesnt let me connect... even tho ppl are playing and he cant come in.. i dont have the realm 127.0.0.1 and it didnt works

did you create a database? with the batch file or with navicat...
did you set-up MySQL ?

im guessing i didnt create a database but im not really that sure lol sry b/c i deleted just about everything if not everything w/ navicate i used the steps in the ascent guide w/ WAMP5 and SQLyog enterprise etc...

omg simple... you don't have the right patch you have to have the patch that the server supports... (hackpatches = oldschool)
