can someone plz help me with the emu problem cause i can't connect and all i want to do is be a GM

ok i set up the TBC emu and mangos and all that stuff i got everything set up according to the guide, i have the magnosd and realmd.exe running. i changed the realmlist .wtf to 127.0.0.1 and i have everything running but for some reason when i type in my passowrd and username it says unable to connect. some one plase help i spent like 3 hours trying to get this setup and it still wotn work, its for the tbc emu. and i have WoW versions 2.03 so do i need to download anything else or do anything else. soem one plz help me please ur help is realy apreciated.

@Dalo: be more specific. wat emu(or maybe ManGOS) are you using. What errors do you get?

emu.exe from american93's reapack... it shuts down when i log into my server, and yes i read the post on it before and readoing doesn't work

We would need a little bit more information to help you with your question. First what are you using Mangos server or an Emu from here? Second do you want to make spells from scratch or just edit existing spells? You have to give a little to get a little

sean122 : you dont need all patches, u need only one, full 1.9.x use Ya hoo or goo gle to find it... its very easy to find....

elussivecorn : Is mangos set to listen on 127.0.0.1? have u created your account? are u sure that it is running (does it say that its listening on port 8080?)

I use americans repack.. But when i try to tuse the bat, i find the WoW copy folder, hit create, then extract. Then the command window pops up for...half a second and closes... I went to edit (( To see what went wrong )) and it said this...

.... My regular WoW is 2.0.3, I never downloaded those patches... I need help >< :P

You can't play on private server using wowemu as a server, when ur client version is 2.0.x it must be 1.11.x or 1.12.x min, as there is no hack patch 2.0.x yet...

about ur maps problem, u have to put that file in wow root, and run it... if it still doesnt work, put it in wow\data folder and have a try... if it still doesnt work, then theres no help for u, just skip the maps part....(note that if u skip that part, no maps will be discovered on your minimap when u enter new areas....)

Hey! Ive asked questions about GM commands, just wanted to say: THANKS!
But now i have other problems, im getting pretty bored playing alone so I want to make my ManGOS server public, I have been following every step in the Setup guide for dummies( IM NOT A DUMMY!). But I just can't get it working .

1. I have changed mangosd.conf and realmd.conf to my IP ( xxx.xxx.xx.xx )

2. I have changed my mangos\diskw\www\pomm_conf.php in Notepad to my IP ( xxx.xxx.xx.xx ) , and i have also changed my
mangos\diskw\www\index.php to my IP ( xxx.xxx.xx.xx )

3. I have pressed on START SQL in ManGOS.exe and it workes just fine, i go into realmd\realm_list\browse\edit ( it doesn really look like that, but on the website, localhost/a/, there is a dropdown meny etc) I have edited the IP there on the SQL site to ( xxx.xxx.xx.xx ) and that works too.

4. I have registred on no-ip.com and created a host.

5. I have tried to put the server up on 127.0.0.1 but now i want to make a public server.

6. My Firewall is off, even though, I opened the ports just for the safety

Now to the questions, first out:

1. I run ManGOS.exe and it works, I press START MYSQL and that works too, but to get to the question, When i press Start Realm, it shuts down after a millisec and when i press Start MangosDB it also shuts down just a millisec after i pressed it, why ? Have I done anything wrong ? I have tried to reinstalled mangos many times etc.

2. Why should i register at no-ip.com ? It doesnt really make any difference does it ? . I dont use the website for nothing and when i go into lan-party.no-ip.org it just says : server is not responding , do i need to do some extra things exept for making just a host ?

3. When i go into the sql site into realmd and into realm_list before i land off in browse i see a thing called structure where the IP is 127.0.0.1 , that doesnt change when i change the IP on realmd\realm_list\browse\edit, should i change that ? The Setup guide doesnt say ANYTHING about that but should i anyway ?

4. I have a router, and im going wireless, could it be that reason why its not working ? Will it work anyway ?

5. And when i go into localhost/ it says Error: Unable to connect to MySQL server. MySQL reported: Host 'secretnumbers.cust.bredbandsbolaget.se' is not allowed to connect to this MySQL server. Error: Unable to connect to MySQL server. MySQL reported: Host 'secretnumbers.cust.bredbandsbolaget.se' is not allowed to connect to this MySQL server.
Why ? Is it because the other things aint working too ?

5. Last but not least, if I get this working, do I need to get a website to get the internet registration working?

I've tried several different repacks and I get "Unable to Connect" with all of them, I've tried with a93's repack, McHugh's repack and an other as well.. I got no idea of what I did wrong, I did everything as all the guides i've read says..

help pls :P (first time i try to set up a priv server so yeh, im nub)
