Ok call me a nub because honestly i am in the admin department ive looked up everything i can on compiling scripts maybe im just stupid but when i download link from things like chrispees thing it comes as script right? so i look up how to compile it and im really lost i think im overcomplicating it ty for said help XD.

Hey...Sorry if this is a facepalm but I am a complete noob at this...
I've been at a boarding school that has blocked WoW and am trying to figure out how to create my own private WoW server at home..Since I don't feel like paying anymore and want to play for fun.

I have looked through various threads and sort of don't understand how to run one..
This is what I have seen and THINK how this works..(Might be noob bare bone knowledge)

Have WoW installed
Use Ascent something or other and MYSQL to do some coding of some sort (?)
Download repacks and do something (?)
Extract WoW maps
I'm wondering if anyone here is able to give me a like....step by step thing in a message. Cause the legendary threads I have looked through confuse me a bit...since there is an assumption of the reader knowing certain things...And I don't...

The pets in the server works correctly but sometimes the pet decrease the armor, ex: my pet have 2190 and 20min later without any buff/debuff have 105armor, 10min later returns 2190 etc etc... Any solution?

And first aid some paterns with items, when i go to make a any bandage, not make the bandage, any solution? And trainers dont open skill window :S

Currently starting a new Chrispee Repack (The Sunwell) server and Ive run into this:

I log on to the account I made.
Then it gets stuck at the first connect but I cancel that and it works anyways.
After the log in it takes me to this



I click the needed check boxes and then it takes me to the server I'm making



here is where the problem appears


this connected box, the second one, doesnt take me into the character selection area and no matter how many times I cancel and retry it it doesnt work....even closing out the WoW.exe and retrying doesnt work.


Now if I could get some help on this I would be very thankful.

Hey guys.
My friend want me to connect to his database so i can help him. He added a user to me in navicat, but he cant tick that enable remote acces thing in the mysql setup, cause he use the ac-web repack and they included their own mysql thing. if there is a way to enable it can u please help me?

Advise him not to use AC-Web as they have much more bugs than Ascent.
Ascent's SVN is back up now which is pretty sweet.

Try Ascent then add users.
Also, try using SQLyog.
That is better for remote access sometimes

When I learn first aid, in lvl 300 of the prof, I buy the book to up at 375, but I make some paterns and the prof don't go up, and If I rebuy says that I know the book.
With the others professions have the same problems(alchemy, etc,etc)
I have ascent trunk 4541 and ADB 190.
