well im using panex premium 7.0 and when an alliance kills horde or horde kllis alliance the server crashes completely i deleted my announcer.dll from my C:\Panex Premium 7.0\Funserver\script_bin fold as instructed by SiPex but the problom still accours please help

hello

Im currently using Spartan's V3 repack and the ascent rev that was posted in the guide (i believe its 3639).
I am trying to make a server for me and my few friends, I have managed to get some server's up in the past, but somethings wrong this time =)

I got it public and all, Accounts are verified.. But when Me or my friends try to log on the realm, It won't, It just says connecting then jumps back to the realm lists. Any help/suggestion?

forwarded ports? configed the config files right? and have you changed your hosts file?

I have this issue a bit too when I am connecting to my server. if it sticks at the 'connecting' tab to long i hit cancel and that usually brings me to the realms screen and then character screen.

Also make sure the config files match eachother, ie if one has port 8129 and the other is 8093 they wont work.

Hi, I have a question about the connectivity with a private server and internet. I installed the newest AC Repack on my mate's computer, wich is running latest WoW Version (2.3.3).

The computer is surely fast enough, has enough space, etc.. but has no internet.

When he or me start up the server, it gives some sort of error that it can't connect tot wow site of some sort.

After studying the logs I found out it tries to connect to some sort of version checker, but since there's no internet, it gives an error.

I have installed multiple servers on my PC successfully, and didn't do anything different at his PC.. Everything in settings is set to local etc..

If it is checking version it sounds like he hasn't edited his realmlist.wtf and it is still pointing to the default WoW Blizz patch server.

Also make sure all his config files are clean of ransom IP's, and that he isn't using a custom launcher that may be trying to access another website .

Just a few questions.

For my private server i run i wanted to ask these few things.

1) where do i change mysql password ..... was told to change it weekly for security reasons .... and do i have to change other things passwords then like my auto account registration that run through mysql and need the mysql password?

2) How do i backup my private servers database ..... say incase the server is taken over by a hacker i can delete the database currently on that the hacker is on and re put up the backup database ...... how do i re put up the backup database

3) what other actions should i take to avoid hackers from my private server ...... i already passworded my computer, have a router ( with only the needed ports open for the server), have a firewall, run antivirus, and check software weekly at least ...... anything else

I'm going to try that later tonight after school, I'm going to download some other repacks too, to make shure it isn't just AC that has the problem.

Well after setting it up again, reading all the readme's 3x and a lot of time going to waste, it still doesn't work.

When looking at the launcher-warning log I noticed something:

Normal (My place):
20:30:08.5460 Fetch version information from eu.version.worldofwarcraft.com (http://80.239.178.132/update/PatchSequenceFile.txt).
20:30:09.0460 Received version information from http://80.239.178.132/update/PatchSequenceFile.txt.
20:30:09.1710 No patch is required.

Without internet:
20:30:08.5460 Fetch version information from eu.version.worldofwarcraft.com (http://80.239.178.132/update/PatchSequenceFile.txt).
Could not fetch version information from eu.version.worldofwarcraft.com

When realmlist.wtf changed to 127.0.0.1 it says
Could not fetch version information from 127.0.0.1 (http://127.0.0.1/update/patchSequenceFile.txt)

My guess is, WoW Emulators don't work when there is no internet connection / cable connected. Can anyone try running one with cable unplugged ?

It worked at patch 2.0.x, but this version doesn't seem to work.
Any help appreciated, tried everything I know.
