RP Server?

Well, here's the deal. I'm an avid RPer. I've been RPing for roughly 6-7 years of my life consecutively and it's one of my favorite hobbies. I've pretty much confined myself to rP in the Warcraft universe, but because of this I have a great knowledge of the lore. I left retail WoW roughly 4 years ago, fed up with the community and seeking to expand my horizon. It wasn't enough anymore to imagine my RPing in the WoW universe built by Blizzard. I wanted a RPing environment that could be literally shaped.

I discovered private RP servers roughly 2-3 years ago, around the same time I quit retail, and I loved it. I've been a member of the communities of Azshara WoW, Rebel WoW, Libertas WoW, Millennium WoW, as well as two newly established servers that were created in the aftermath of Millennium WoW's collapse.

However, ever since Azshara was taken down i've found the communities that followed to be lacking in various aspects. Whether it was the treatment of the community, members of the community itself, an irresponsible or incapable staff, or other qualms I might have.

They've kept me content, but they're far from perfect. I've had the unique experience of being able to observe these communities as not only a player but once as a GM on Millennium WoW as well. I've come to understand server politics, and the good and bad aspects of all the servers I visited. I've seen what works, and what doesn't work.

With this knowledge, i've always dreamed of establishing a community that, while not being perfect, has worked. However, I lack some of the things it requires. The money to support a VPS, the internet to host a server of my own, the technical skills and knowledge to create a truly unique and working DB, and various other things.

I know I am not alone in my search for such a server, and I know there are those of you out there who have the skills and such that I lack to make this possible.

What am asking for, is if anyone is interested or is willing to offer their assistance in helping me.

This, Epilogue was on BBC news when it shutdown and now it's backup under a new name - Prologue. Strong as ever and the best RP server you are going to find.

Maybe I can help you ? I've my own Roleplay server , the mekaniserver in 3.3.5.12340 , and i'm recruiting some roleplayers.
6-7 years is a good experience , I thinks that you could have some fun here ...

It was an interview about all pservers. Epilogue got shut down due drama with S, Dynashock and moar GM abuse, and they restarted as Prologue.

If you want proper roleplay, I recommend you turn to a MUD or MUSH server rather than World of Warcraft.

MUD stands for Multi-User Dungeon. They were the original multiplayer RPGs, and are the basis for essentially all MMORPGs.
